BTB Codex - Drünn (Patreon)

You're noooot gonna believe it. It's another creature! This one's an idea I've had for yeeears now, but only recently thought I'd be able to take a shot at drawing how I see it in my head.

An aggressive species of dragon, identified by their steely grey scales, lack of apparent eyes, inverted tail fins and, most strikingly, the red crystal growths on their shoulders and chins. Though they lack eyes, they can still see, thanks to the chin crystals, which afford them hardwired scrying abilities using the crystal as a view port. Incapable of standard fire breathing, the shoulder crystals make up for the lack, being able to fire bolts of destructive energy farther, and more accurately, than standard dragon fire. Study of the creatures revealed the sight crystals contain enchantments to not only scry, but to send the image somewhere other than the dragon itself, leading many to believe the creatures were made, rather than born.
