Ok serious question... how am I going to remember of all of the Hashiras' names?! I am usually pretty good with character names, but this is going to be quite the task 😳

Also, someone please tell me you know Beetlejuice. If you do remember that classic, are you old enough to remember the cartoon or just the movie?? I'm cartoon old 🤣

Don't worry about remembering all their names right away, you'll get there. Maybe start with what type of Hashira they are first? Also, Hashira literally means Pillar, so I'm not really sure why they didn't translate the word.

Of COURSE I remember Beetlejuice! That being part of my childhood is one of the reasons I'm so weird. Also, you'll get the Hashira's names in time. They hit you with them all right away so they end up just blending into a fugue of colors and exaggerated personality traits, but they do a good job later of fleshing them out. Also yes, the plural of Hashira is Hashira. AND The Orange haired guy is voiced by the same guy who voices YA BOY DAICHI!

I think people who do subtitles(localizers?) tend to use the japanese words for titles instead of directly translating them? That's not based on anything but my own observations.

It's possible. I do think that Hashira sounds better than Pillar, at least when translated to English.

Thinking back, my original impression of the Hashira from this episode pretty much tracks Sarah's (ie. really didn't care for most of them). Standing in the position of being current with the anime and rewatching this episode now, my initial reaction was just being surprised by the sheer amount of affection that I have for all the characters in this episode. I think "Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice" (a.k.a. The Sequel) is supposed to be coming out later this year (yeah, I wasn't about to say it three times!) Oh, and Sarah being offended that everyone was only using Muzan's last name was 🤣🤣🤣

Few clarifications/context(no spoilers): -Seppuku is "honorable suicide". Done as some form of atonement for a grave mistake or capital punishment by the law. It is a very slow(done incorrectly it can take hours to pass) and extremely painful way to go. You can google the specifics if you want more info. -The crow led Tanjiro to the town to investigate a series of murders, but Tanjiro's sense of smell led him directly to Kibutsuji Muzan. This may just be myself speculating, but there is a very high chance that Muzan would not have been discovered at that time without Tanjiro's nose.

Showing my age and profession, but I saw Beetlejuice on its opening night. Beetlejuice was also spelled Betelgeuse in the credits.. like the red giant in Orion. Tim Burton is amazing and the sequel is this Fall. Betelgeuse the star is as at least as odd as the bio-exorcist. It's a rather flamboyant star.
