With the end of Demon Slayer season 1 approaching, Adam and I will be watching a movie as a palate cleanser. Which one should we watch??

I love Nausicaa but it’s an intense movie and probably not one I’d recommend as a palette cleanser after demon slayer.

They usually give details when movies and series are added but they didn’t for this one, so I put it down blind. Oops! Honestly, I’d watch it anyway!

Attack on Titan reactions are legendary , so many mind blowing moments, especially in the later seasons (but plenty of good ones early on too).

I am biased because Howl's Moving Castle is my all-time favorite Ghibli movie. But... I haven't seen A Silent Voice yet so if it wins I will still be happy to watch it with you guys for the first time 😍

I didn't see Nausicaa until last year when it was in theaters and it honestly blew my sister and I away. When we walked out we didn't even know what to say. It's one of the best movies I've ever seen. I would highly suggest watching even if it's not on the channel. It is kinda intense though lol. Ghibli movies are in the theaters sometimes if it's on there I'd suggest that.(sorry this is so long)

Nausicaa is a LOT. I love it, but it is just very abstract. I think A Silent Voice or Howls Moving Castle for sure

Didn't you guys already watch Your Name? If I'm remembering correctly then A Silent Voice for sure. That way you'll be halfway through the Emotional Gutpunch Quartet of A Silent Voice, Your Name, Weathering With You, and I Want To Eat Your Pancreas.

For Studio Ghibili intensity there's The Grave of the Fireflies. It's not from Miyazaki... intense and beautifully done, but it's a film I'm happy to have seen once, but will never watch again.

Nausicaa is excellent, but it is long and intense. I think it's polling so low because it feels a little advanced for people who are relatively new to anime.

If you want a true palate cleanser, may I recommend Ponyo. Howl's Moving Castle is my recommendation for this round, but consider Ponyo the next time you need a sweet refresh.

A silent voice is going to be A LOT, emotionally speaking. On the contrary, Howl’s moving castle is a refreshing change from the intense Demon slayer anime. So my choice would be Howl’s moving castle

Howls cool! Just in case you could use a show recommendation for the future check out Ping Pong the animation, only 11 episodes, great sports anime. Or for a more intense and long anime but has the biggest audience on YT would be Attack on Titan.

I know it will never win any polls but I will never back down on recommending "A Place Further than the Universe." It is such an inspirational, heartwarming, heartbreaking, wholesome anime but most anime fans don't even know it exists.

You should watch ‘I want to eat your pancreas’. As much as the title is weird, it’s not a scary movie or anything weird. Definitely prefer this movie or ‘Your Name’

My Ghibli personal favorite will always be Nausicca, but I can already imagine your reactions watching the other two choices. Anyways, all of these movies are beautiful and you should totally watch them all.

I'd love to see it, too. Honestly, I think Sarah/Adam mash up on it would be so much fun, because it's quite a few steps up on brutality from Demon Slayer, and Sarah/Adam do such a great job on contrasting/complimenting each other on high action shows.

I voted for Howl's Moving Castle. lol Even if it doesn't win, I recommend watching the dub of it instead of the sub. I'm a real stickler - almost always prefer sub - but I recommend dub for that one, because it's set in a Western style country with Western names, etc. And they dubbed this movie back in the early 2000's, back during what I consider the golden age of dubbing (haven't seen many good dubs since then, though I'm sure I'll get protests otherwise lol).

A silent voice is NOT a pallet cleanser😭 it’s beautiful but please be prepared if you watch it. Howl’s is my fav ghibli film and yes, watch it dubbed. People get confused because they miss the context provided by background convo. Not to mention, Christian Bale voices Howl and it’s heavenly
