Adam: "Kenma's my boy."

Sarah: "Is he?"

Adam: "I think so..."

Typical Adam 🤦‍♀️ 😍 I mean, Kenma's a great pick, though, so just stick with it.

i know someone already said it at some point but yeah, the thing with lev's sister is a mistranslation, what Yaku said is closer to "beauty" or "very pretty" rather than plain "hot"

As a reminder about the Tokyo spring nationals spots, they get 2 spots but because their prefecture is so big and because they’re the host city for it this year, there is a venue sponsorship spot. The first two spots is going to Fukurodani and the team they’re playing against in the finals and the venue sponsorship spot is currently being fought over by Nekoma and Hebi. I love these OVAs, they give you a nice insight into the other characters and their team dynamics.

Who Really Cares

I think the fandom likes Bokuto not because of his skills as a player, but his role in the story as a character - for his comedic elements, as well as how he helped out Hinata and Tsukki. It makes sense that people that have played volleyball would be frustrated/annoyed by his emotional moments/breakdowns, lol. But him being a fictional character, the regular viewer doesn't have to deal with that, or imaging dealing with that, in a real volleyball setting - so his weak points as a player become fun character quirks instead

If I knew Bokuto IRL I would not like him, but as a character I love him! He is a goof and brings some light heartedness with his antics, all the meanwhile being a very precise and powerful hitter. Putting his weak mental game aside, it reminds me of a certain olympian, beach volleyball champion and long time indoor player who ALSO wears her heart on her sleeve; It's hilarious that on this episode you mentioned how you can't hide your emotions at all. On the topic of the snake boys team, while I'm all for baiting the opponent and covert tactics, hitting and insulting the other side crosses a line; it's the most un-sportsmanship behavior (Even worse things to come in the next episode)

The thing about Bokuto is that despite his mental issues, despite his 40+ weaknesses, his average play still puts him at top 5 best spikers in the country. That means when the boy IS on point, when he gets his shit together (or rather, Akaashi gets Bokuto together) he is SO good it offsets all that bullshit hard enough to pull him to top 5. On a good day, Bokuto is very VERY good. He must be exhausting to deal with for sure and has a lot of work on, but I do think most people like him because he just seems like a cool, nice guy to know. I woudn't want to play WITH him, but he's probably great to hang out.
