Is Genya a demon?!?!?! Wait... don't tell me. I'm going to find out.

These memory dream things Tanjiro is having are incredibly cool, but leave me with 10,000 more questions. How did the samurai get convinced to become a demon?

How did Nezuko know how to infuse the sword with her blood?!?!?!?! This keeps getting better and better.

Loving all the rhetorical questions XD Bit of trivia: Mitsuru's sword is based on real-life Indian weapon called an 'urumi'. Her's is way more flexible than the real-life version though. As far as what Nezuko did this episode, its actually the same move the two of them pulled against Rui when both Tanjiro used Hinokami Kagura and Nezuko used Exploding Blood for the first time. But that time, it was kind-of by accident since she was strung up above where they were fighting and there was a little bit of her blood on his broken sword.

So to answer your questions about who has each sword: Tanjiro and Kotetsu gave the 300 year old sword to Hagenezuka to sharpen/hone/refine since it was super rusty. He gave a new sword to Tanjiro in that moment and basically said 'use this in the meantime' Tanjiro said that Hagenezuka's sharpening thing takes 3 days and nights so it's not ready yet. Muichiro had his sword in ep 2 then it broke when he fought the puppet. He took one of the arms and the sword with it and is using that in the meantime, which explains why you see it so chipped. In ep 3, he woke up Tanjiro to find Kanamori, because he was assigned to make Muichiro's sword. Since they met up here, Muichiro was gonna take his new sword by Kanamori and go fight but Upper 5 got in the way. Also, back in season 1, we meet Kanamori for the first time cause he's the guy who made Inosuke's swords (He got super mad when Inosuke purposefully chipped them.)

There really is nothing you can say to these reactions without spoiling so enjoy the show without thinking too deeply about what people comment. Keep your eyes peeled for all the upcoming episodes and enjoy the journey cause it's an interesting one....

Lemme give you hints. Tanjiro: Smell, Zenitsu: Hearing, Inosuke: Touch. Guess what Genya's.

I don't think a viewer, especially one on Patreon, would lie to you about that... I'm sure it really was their first time viewing too and they just wanted to make some observations and discuss with you guys :/ kinda bummed me out to hear you immediately jump to "oh they were just spoiling it on purpose". I know that isn't uncommon with comments, but I remember reading that specific comment too and they genuinely did seem like they were a first time watcher and wanted to share their thoughts and discuss theories, just like you guys are doing in your reaction.

Great episode and great reaction! Unrelated but regarding doing drafts for demon slayer I would recommend to do that after season 4. Once you guys get close to finishing season 4 I will try to give ideas on how to do them if you guys don't already have one by then!

Well said.. I thought so too.. however, I can’t blame Sarah and Adam either, since there has been a recent incident of someone giving out major spoilers (on YT) and being super proud of it 😕

He also told us about Hagenezukas ticklish spots good guy Kanamori.

riddle

(First-time viewer) Man this one really got me 😭 I feel like we dont see civilians die that often in this show, especially when a specific demon slayer is guarding them. So I'm usually not that nervous for their safety, but this time I was really scared for Kotetsu and the other swordsmith 😭 That vase demon is so sadistic ughhhhhh. Interesting to hear that people feel that demon slayer peaked in the entertainment district art. Because this is the first season I am actually excited and on edge for. Like I said in my other comment, I am not a big fan of shonen fighting anime. So even though my mom was enjoying the show when we were watching it together, I honestly found it kind of bland (sorry! again, not my style of anime). But now im actually kind of stressed and worried for the characters. I hope lady Kanroji comes to help them soon. I am so stressed LOL ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Below are my thoughts and theories feel free to ignore: I wonder if Nezuko also has inherited memories? Originally when Tanjiro was having that vision, I thought the woman he was seeing was Nezuko 🤦‍♀️ Maybe she's the reincarnation of that ancestor? I was originally suspicious of Genya back when Tanjiro and the other two were getting treated for their injuries and Genya shoulder clipped him. My first thought wasn't demon when I saw him, but I was wondering how he got the way he did and why Tanjiro noticed something different about his scent. I originally thought he was doing some type of unnatural body modifications(?). Which is why I was paying a little more attention to his scenes this season. The thing that stuck out the most to me and made me question him even more was the tooth scene. Mostly because the tooth regeneration reminded me of a completely different anime (those who know, know 👀). I'm still on the side that he's not a bad person though. Like I genuinely can't imagine Muzan going to a demon slayer of all people to share his blood. And those split demons didn't seem to know who he was so I don't feel like he's working with them. We did see the upper demon sorta offer Rengoku to become a demon, but yeah idk, I don't know if there are many demons who would wanna do that. I wonder who it was that he was sneaking off to see when the demons attacked though. Cuz I feel like whoever that is, is responsible for him.

riddle

i was actually the person on discord that got spoiled by the haikyuu comment on the death note preview 😭💔 it genuinely ruined my whole day cuz i had gone spoiler free for 2 years rip. ive been trying to gaslight myself into forgetting the comment lol

riddle

That was me who made that comment on the previous episode about Genya and I really am a first time viewer. I only watched up to the siblings arc and then I stopped watching the show. I was originally watching Demon Slayer because my mom picked it out and we were watching it together, but then I was away from home when this season was coming out. I'm not a big fan of fighting style shonen anime, it's actually my least favorite genre of anime lol. I'm more of a shojo girlie. So I didn't feel like continuing the show on my own since I was originally only watching it for my mom. But I decided to watch it with you guys since I enjoy your reactions. Sorry if it took away from the reaction! I will separate my theories from all my future comments to avoid any potential influence to your reactions. oh also, I always make the disclaimer "(First time viewer)" on my comments whenever I'm watching a show for the first time because in another Youtube reactor duo's Patreon videos, a first time viewer commented their predictions for an AOT episode and someone else replied to them telling them not to spoil the show for the duo, which of course meant the commenter's predictions were correct and that ended up spoiling it for the first time viewer 🥴 So it kind of became a thing for first time viewers to make a disclaimer when commenting on that reactor duo's Patreon to avoid confusion.

There is a dickhead who keep spoiling ppl on YouTube short so i can’t blame them to be suspicious

Ashley hui

Man I am so sorry for that. That person was already reported

riddle

yeah there's sadly quite a lot of trolls... i dont know what enjoyment they find from spoiling things 😭 another youtuber that i used to watch got the ending of hq season 1 spoiled before he got to that episode while he was livestreaming 🥴 i think they wanted to see his reaction in real time which is really twisted. i was already aware of trolls posting spoilers on shorts, so i usually avoid watching shorts of series that are ongoing and i haven't completed yet. but i didn't expect to see haikyuu spoilers on non-haikyuu related shorts.

Shalini Paul

Oh yes, sorry about that again.. I hope going forward there won’t be any such issues.. but just to be careful, avoid comments on any videos/shorts on YT in the future..

The eyes on Gyokko's upper face are engraved with "Upper(上弦)", while the eyes on the lower face are engraved with "Five(伍)". His desire for self-expression is extremely strong, and he greatly admires Muzan. He considers the vases he creates to be works of art and prides himself on being the ultimate artist, unable to tolerate anyone damaging or insulting his vases. Muzan's evaluation of him is, 'The vases are beautiful and could sell for a high price' (a detail from the manga extras, not depicted in the anime, so it’s not a spoiler).

Shalini Paul

Ah, the Entertainment District Arc, my absolute favorite! But I think it’s important to note that just because many fans (including myself) rave about that arc doesn't mean we are throwing shade at the Swordsmith Village Arc. Sure, we were still mourning Rengoku's heroic exit, and there was this gnawing anxiety about whether the Upper Moons would ever meet their match in a Hashira or someone like Tanjiro. That arc was a lifeline for us fans—it was packed with action, from the trio working together to Uzui putting up a fierce fight and actually making it out alive! Plus, we got to witness Nezuko's wild transformation, which had us all on the edge of our seats. And let’s not forget Tanjiro - He pushed through his darkest moments to take down an Upper Moon, proving that hope can shine even in the bleakest times. Like Ubuyashiki said, it was the spark that ignited a chain reaction, which would lead the slayers right to Muzan some day. So yeah, if I had to sum it all up, the ED arc was all about 'hope' for me, and I’m here for it!

Shalini Paul

Oh dear, you’re not catching any breaks, are you? ☹️

riddle

it's okay, I understand why it may have seemed like I was spoiling since there are a lot of trolls out there who do it for fun. i was genuinely surprised that we got a reveal (if he does actually turn out to be a demon 🤔) at the end of this episode lol. though I'll keep my theories tagged from now on so that they can be skipped if wanted.

Shalini Paul

I understand both sides, and it's commendable that you are being considerate of others. I was once accused of giving a spoiler about a show that aired (wait for it...) eight years ago! This happened on a YouTube channel that constantly remakes and edits shorts from that show. So, why would people who haven't watched the show subscribe to it at all? I wondered why they would watch those clips if they hadn't seen the entire series. 😦 The majority agreed with me, except for a few misguided individuals who drained my energy with their explanations. My point is, the internet is a vicious place nowadays, so be careful about whom you interact with and preserve your energy. Some people have nothing better to do than act as keyboard warriors, making life miserable for others.
