Those are some bold moves by Misa... and I must say, I kinda respect it. I'm not sure it the was the smartest or safest call by her, but I appreciate her desire to get answers.

This Third Kira is a real piece of work though... the way he reasoned through Misa becoming his wife is questionable, to say the least.

I think in their mind the difference between old kira and this new kira is the new one is "Punishing" criminals only as a cover for the real killings that he wants to do solely for personal gain

I think what Misa is saying by "the new kira is bad" is that he is not the original. He doesnt have this "noble" idea of making a better world behind him. We dont know what excatly Rem told Misa in the bathroom about the past, but she made it very clear that Light is the original, the one who punished the criminals, the one who avenged her parents death, the one true Kira that Misa fell in love with. This other guy is just an imposter who is sullying Kiras name just by being Kira.
