I'm excited to see your reactions to this!! Also, curious to see if you'll recognize any of the voice actors from other animes you've watched so far.

A throwback! I watched this show when it was airing and then upon its completion, went back to the first episode and watched it all the way through. I did this two more times. One of my favorites and am excited to see you guys watch it! I love all the sports anime you guys react to. Interesting to see a professional athletes perspective.

Finally!!! I've been waiting for this!🙌🙌🙌 I can't beleive it's almost 10 years since the anime was first airing on TV and I still remember on the day after the broadcast of an episode, Twitter topics were all filled with ones related to this anime. Can you guess which VA from Haikyuu!! plays which role in this anime?😏 Please enjoy!🥰

Emi

Let’s goooooo!!!! I’m SO EXCITED for this series!!

I would have never imagined you would be reacting to Yuri On Ice, I am so excited to watch your reactions!! It's a bit different from Haikyuu, but also honest and true to the feelings of the sport in a similar way. Yes, there's some over the top bits, like you've already seen in this first episode. And the interactions between Victor, Yuri and Yuri.. well, you'll see. But it's also, as you both were so incredibly quick to understand, about the struggles and mentality of a solo sport. And, similar to Haikyuu, how the people around you shape who you are as an athlete and as a person.

Sarah

We have loved the episodes we've watched so far!

I am SO excited y'all started YoI and are vibing with it! YoI was a huge MOMENT (dare I say, a history making moment, haha) in 2016 that I still remember fondly--like I remember my socials blowing up every week with excitement, theories and gifs once an episode dropped. YoI also won a LOT of fans amongst the actual Figure Skating World, so it was really fun seeing legends like Johnny Weir praise it. x) Definitely keep a pin on the Mental Toughness needed for a solo sport as we keep progressing!

Judy

Lemme just say the editing on this cracked me up!! GG Aaaa you guys I'm so excited for you. This is an anime i wish i could watch for the first time over n over again. One of the songs has been my ringtone for ages. The animation, songs, humor, relationships is just done so well. Btw, have you figured out who the VA for Russian Yuri is? 😏

Koko

Anyone mentioned that Yuri (the MC) VA is Toshiyuki Toyonaga, RWTW Haiji’s VA? lol

Maayan Stern

He also voices Shirabu in Haikyuu! There's a lot of crossover.

Maayan Stern

I keep forgetting that he shares his seiyuu with that particular guy. And with Toyonaga-san also voicing Shirabu... well, let's just say it's no wonder the two Yuris don't get along.

Judy

Oh wow didn't know that Japanese Yuri was voiced by Haiji n Shirabu's VA!
