I believe there are 4 prefectures of the 47 total that have more than 1 representative team per gender. And of those 4, it’s only Tokyo that has 3 slots for representative teams, and the others all have 2. So, there are 52 teams in each tournament & 104 teams there total.

I just looked this part up: The 4 prefectures, in Haikyuu, are Tokyo, Kanagawa, Hokkaido & Aichi. But apparently, in real life, the 4 prefectures with multiple representative slots are Tokyo, Kanagawa, Hokkaido & Osaka. It seems like no one knows why Furudate swapped out Osaka in Haikyuu

Sarah

Thanks for the info!!

So I think there was a style change in general in this season. I believe the animation studio was trying to match the manga art a little bit more but Sarah was right that this season came out during Covid, I think even some of the training camp episodes.

TheRealNemesis

I always find it funny how Daichi's nightmare scenario was basically Hinata's Junior High experience.

Nightwing

I love this episode. Like how TheRealNemesis said, I like how Daichi's nightmare is Hinata's beginning back in season 1 and how just like the four idiots, Daichi just ends up at the school but for him it is to put his mind at ease about his nightmare. Also my favourite thing about this episode was how much of Suga we got and how much his chaotic side came out along with his sass. My favourite being when Daichi called Suga out when after he made Ennoshita in charge while he talked with Coach Ukai and Suga made a small fuss about it because he is the vice-captain and that he should be in charge, but Daichi called him out and said you would only encourage the troublemakers since he is one himself. I love Suga's boo at the end at being figured out.

Adam you would love ace of diamond. A lot of school rivalries and interactions. It's a baseball show but i think you could relate to it pretty well

Sarah

Suga's sass has its kickoff here, I feel. It just gets better and better

The episodes that look especially weird and off model are a little later in the season and they’re the result of outsourcing the episodes to an entirely different studio because they didn’t have the manpower to do it in house and still make the deadlines. Those ones are ROUGH.
