Love this episode 😍 ❤️. It always gets me and the ending when Haji's view gets blurry with tears, it's like he cried with us.

I just realized, with this watch party format, that there will be no cuts, yes? So Adam will just have to continue speaking IF Sarah breaks down? (Unlike your Demon Slayer upload in the Season 3 finale where Sarah called time out.)

Barakamon would be great! ❤️

I'd like to recommend a Chinese animation, "Link Clink". As the only Chinese animation that has made it onto the international stage in the past decade, I believe its excellence speaks for itself. The most profound impression this series left on me is that it's a tragic feast of love and redemption. It has thus become my current "masterpiece" in my heart. No work has ever managed to infuse the sacredness of redemption into every frame and every line. The sense of redemption in this work is great. It doesn't confine itself to the already noble emotions of love, family affection, and friendship. Its sense of redemption, carrying these touching elements, has traversed the long river of time, tasted the essence of humanity in its own descent, and finally held itself up with kindness, appreciation, responsibility, and truth, even if it's unrecognizable. Redemption stems from tragedy, through suffering, experiencing the cold and warmth, then losing hope and being unable to cope. But the redemption in this work itself is a tragedy. This feast called redemption leaves no one unscathed. Whether it's self-rescue or relying on others, victory or defeat, everyone inevitably becomes the protagonist of this tragedy. A wonderful aspect is that no matter how dramatic and unexpected the plot is, the overall feeling the series gives me is a peaceful "sadness". This sadness emerges from the truth that can be faintly perceived, not merely caused by extreme characteristics like good and evil, but rather the interweaving of different human natures' resistance against the various hardships they encounter. Regardless of the past or the future. In this feast, I hope each of them can succeed in self-rescue. PS: Since English is not my native language, you may have some difficulty understanding it. Please excuse me if there are any mistakes.

And I highly recommend another Chinese anime, "The Outcast". The emergence of this work has greatly filled the gap in various fields in China regarding the exploration of Taoism. What attracts me most about this work is its in-depth exploration of Taoist culture! The animation incorporates the understanding of Taoist classics such as the "Tao Te Ching", "Yin Fu Jing", and "Zhuangzi" into the characters and story, allowing viewers to learn a lot of traditional cultural knowledge while being entertained! "The Outcast”is not just a simple anime; it also contains profound humanistic dialectics. The conflicts among different characters in the work reflect Taoist ideas such as "the sage has no self, the divine has no merit, and the holy has no name". The names of each episode are full of Taoist charm, such as "Change the self, create the destiny" and "Disaster and fortune have no door, only people summon them themselves", allowing viewers to think about life philosophy while watching the series. Moreover, the work also explores the complex relationships among people in modern society, such as teamwork, trust and betrayal, love and sacrifice, etc. In the fourth and fifth seasons, there is a little girl named Chen Duo who is my favorite character. It's a story about a monster reborn as a human. There is a line in her character song that breaks my heart: "At first, coming to this world was an inevitable arrival; ultimately, choosing to leave is the blooming of freedom. Flowers break through the ice to bloom, but when the soul returns to the distant place, passing through the human world, it finds it too desolate to thrive.”If you are interested in her, you can start watching from the fourth season, which won't affect your understanding As a Chinese , Chen Duo's story really touched me deeply.

any baseball enjoyer? i would like to recommend ace of diamond, one of the best in my opinion. really deepdive into very competitive school sports unlike haikyuu where theyre the underdog, but the school this series is set is an elite school and everyone's very competitive of each spot on the team. everything is almost very realistic and you probably can find the reference in real baseball. but gotta warn about the first few episodes to get to know about the cast tho. hahahha

Sarah

Oh man this one hits hard. Love the Prince arc

Sarah

That is correct. The season 3 finale tears were next level though. Wow!

Chawamushi

I think "golden kamuy" is good to watch in watch party! it is a historical adventure anime set in the early 1900s, blending action, comedy, and survival elements. It follows Saichi "Immortal" Sugimoto, a war veteran searching for a hidden Ainu gold stash in Hokkaido to fulfill a promise to his fallen comrade. The series is packed with intense battles, rich cultural details, and a surprising dose of food appreciation. If you enjoy thrilling treasure hunts with a unique historical twist, this anime is a must watch (Im not good at introducing HAHAH this intro is from chatGPT)

I'd like to throw in a suggestion/vote for Tsurune, which is about kyudo, Japanese archery. This episode kind of reminded me of it and how it has similar vibes: wind motif, dealing with pressure of competition/performance, (re)learning to love the sport, learning what a team means for a solo sport. By the same studio behind A Silent Voice.

wondering if you guys gonna watch "Frieren: Beyond Journey's End" or not. I think it's also good for this type of viewing rather than reaction :)
