I know I say it often, but the way Haikyu!! is able to hit the details of what playing the sport is really like.... insane.

What Kageyama went through in this episode is incredibly accurate, and it is such a nuanced part of our sport, so both Adam and I were so happy to talk about it!

I never thought I would ever say this, but, forget about the episode! I want to know why Adam was grinning before the start of the episode 😬 I know you talked about the Coach and getting numbers, but I feel there’s got to be more to it for Adam to smile like that. I want deets!! (Probably in the next livestream?) And I definitely want to know how Sarah managed the situation with the dress code (I promise I won’t judge! 😆😉) P.S - nope, can’t do it. Have to talk about today’s episode. I absolutely loved this one! It reminds most of us that it’s okay to love something and not being the best at it; that it’s okay to go for something else even if you’re full of doubts and fears. And Kiyoko passing the “baton” to Yachi! I almost cried again!

My theory is that those lines that go up from the floor do not represent a cage for Kageyama but rather his spatial vision and how he connects every element on his side of the court. The empty areas, the situation of his teammates on the court... it's very graphic and very very strategical, similar to how an architect would start drawing a design. Then he "sees" a shooting mark where he thinks Hinata is likely to reach with his jump. I insist, this is what I think it is, not necessarily what it actually is.

"Kept you waiting, huh?" Do you think Kageyama *knows* he's as cool as he is?

Battle tested and battle ready. Let's go!!

You're actually 100% correct. If you notice the first time it shows them, the lines are very warped and curved, reflecting his impaired sense of space. But when he finally locks in the lines are all perfectly straight. It's very cool imagery.

riddle

I was on the cross country team and the long-distance running club at my high school, and I once accidentally brought two shirts instead of my shirt and running shorts 🥹🥹 I remember I still was able to practice that day but I can't remember if someone lent me a spare pair of shorts that they had with them or if I had my school issued PE shorts in my locker or something lol. But from then on I always had an extra pair of shorts and a shirt with me at all times just in case.

riddle

I am back with another voice actor fun fact 😀😅 Kageyama's voice actor Ishikawa Kaito said that he had a tough time doing the "Sorry to keep you waiting" line because it was difficult for him to pronounce. He said he had to redo the line several times and it was also difficult for the staff to pick which version sounded better for the final cut. I think he did a really good job, I always get so hyped when watching that scene.

Always packing an extra is the best way to avoid forgetting something. I tend to forget things when I’m in a hurry so I always have extras stored away.

Shalini Paul

Oh I didn’t know that. That’s a cool fact!

riddle

yea! it was in a Haikyuu radio where Uchiyama Koki (Tsukishima's voice actor) joined as a guest. you can find it on youtube if you search "Ishikawa Kaito having difficulties with his line".

Man, I’m getting so hyped! I can’t wait to hear what Adam has to say about my favorite captain
