Muichiro's smile when Tanjiro entered the training room completely melted my heart 🥹 I love to see the evolution of different characters after they have spent some time with Tanjiro, observing his kindness ❤️

As per adam's question about how does it compare to the manga, it's actually the other way around. Without saying any spoilers, this training arc in the manga is actually short. Most people manga readers agreed that they definitely milked this arc and added more to it. Nonetheless it's fun and more contents for us to consume.

I personally loved this season a lot I’ve read the manga and absolutely didn’t mind the bonus stuff animation studio gave us it’s def prepping us for movies and at the same time we’re bonding with hashira and all the cast tbh I’d say so far demon slayer followed manga pretty accurately so I’m not worried about quality of movies at all (in comparison with haikyuu it’s like heaven and earth) Btw Sarah have you heard about potential haikyuu season 5??? I’ll go crazy if it’s true

I agree, this arc was only 8 chapters in the manga (So like 1 chapter per episode). Most anime like to adapt around 2-3 chapters per episode, so they stretched these ones out a bit. I was shocked to hear that they made it into it's own arc, but considering how they chose to follow it up with movies, it made sense. I did very much so enjoy this arc's additions though, as it was very refreshing and nice to see Tanjiro interact with everyone~ The story going forward will be even more impactful as a result.

Yes, as others have said, the Hashira training arc is largely anime-original. Just based on our past episodes, the past 2 episodes were not in the manga. In the manga, Tengen and Tokito's training sections total about 3 pages (for both of them, not each). It just consisted of Tanjiro speedrunning the training then being told he can move on. The opening scene with Wind and Serpent Hashira in episode 1 was also anime-original. I don't mind it personally, as we get some nice wholesomeness, relaxation, as well as development for the hashira we haven't met, and the no-name demon slayers, which is also important imo.

So in answer to the question about do these guys get any training its generally training to survive the selection exam then most people don't see as much action as Tanjiro and the boys. Also in the ideal scenario the hashira would be taking on students but as we've seen the only one to really do it was Shinobu and just from this arc we are seeing the hashira are talented but maybe not the greatest teachers

As an American I feel the need to say, I'm just so sorry. My government is treating Canada like absolutely trash right now and I feel so sad and ashamed.

The first movie of the final trilogy will be in theaters on July 8, in Japan.

Wait, a season instead of movies??? Are you serious??

Sarah

I have been enjoying it, so no complaints from me. Honestly, it's kinda cool that they added more detail in the anime because it's usually the opposite!

Oh man, yeah things are pretty wild 😢 I just don't get it
