Yeah, the ‘sibling love bordering on obsession’ siscon/brocon thing is a weird trope of anime that I have never gotten used to. The best explanation I’ve found so far is that its ‘natural older sibling protection instinct trope ramped up to the extreme for comedic effect’ and the comedic intention of it keeps falling flat, but still… …I also just wanna say thank you for being on Adam’s ass IMMEDIATELY with that ‘platonic/plutonic’ nonsense. That is one of my biggest pet peeves and I was about to SCREAM 😅

you're right the sibling relationship is weird af. with yuri/yor it didn't really bother me because it's very clearly played up for comedic effect, but here it's way too sentimental and therefore downright gross. michele's program is even harder to watch than christophe's 😂 good thing there are way better things to focus on, like the dynamic between the yuri's, the iconic "like a marriage proposal" airport scene, and hating on jj! this episode was so good. as always, can't wait for the next one

idk why in japanese media especially in anime / manga I've seen so much fetishization of incestuous relationships like it's so normalized?? eww gross. So yeah you're valid for feeling weird Sarah, i think that's the appropriate response, be it to Mickey/Sala or Yor/yuri lol (I'd be more 😬😬😬 if you didn't feel anything towards this) Viktor and Yuri's faces when running towards each other at the airport 😭😭😭 "be my coach until i retire" "i wish you'd never retire" WHO WROTE THISSSSSSSSS also i think yurio taking a risk in his performance also has something to do with him being in his homeland? with his local fans and his grandpa watching? His grandpa probably won't watch anymore after this because it's in another country. but regardless, I was speechless, if he could be good this young with this teenage mood swings, imagine how good he'll be when he's older!!!

Yuri just squeaking into the Finals was so stressful!! I love that Yurio secretly likes Yuri and cheers him on as a rival, it's just hidden under layers of teenage angst haha. And ahhh what a sweet ending scene they're so cute 🥺 Anyway yea I just try to ignore the weird sibling dynamic, especially here they make it so serious and it's just weirddd. Idk if it's a culture thing but it's pretty common in anime, like it's been in 2 of the handful of shows you've seen so far😭 I love anime but there are definitely some aspects that I'm not a fan of such as one-dimensional female characters, blatant fanservice showing boobs or whatever, and this incestuous thing😖 Thankfully most shows I watch don't focus on it and I feel that the industry is slowly moving away from it as well, so I usually can ignore those aspects.
