Ya know rewatching this episode with you guys, I can’t help but think that the dig Atsumu made at that last point where he received the minus tempo quick, is VERY similar to how Oikawa made the same type of receive (his arms out exactly the same Atsumu in this episode) but missed the receive to lose the set back in season 2! Obviously the minus tempo quick didn’t get touched by the blockers this time around but like I can only start imagining that this is what Oikawa wanted to do when attempting to receive back then lol

For high school tournaments like this, at what point does a good strategy overtake player ability? I know a lot of factors go into it, but is there a threshold where if you have a team of players who are good athletes but have mediocre strats vs a team of players who are okay athletes with great strats, will one always overtake the other?

I think it should be mentioned that it's 22-15 because Asahi touched the net, which was why he was saying sorry in the end of the episode, but the anime didn't show it clearly.

Good question. I think at this level, if one team is clearly more skilled, they generally win. I think for good strategy to tip the scale in high school, the teams need to be close in skill level
