Okay, but why did Ymir look the same as a Dumb Titan and after she ate Marcel? And why didn't she have the Jaw??

Next episode has a post-credit scene. Please make sure to watch past the credits. 😁👍 And yes, the scene with Kenny and Annie was her trying to track down the King and Founding Titan. She encountered, and was confronted by, Kenny so she made up a story on the spot about being his daughter but obviously she's not his daughter. And yes, that was Reiner about to delete himself because he is wracked with a lot of guilt and self-loathing.

Reiner is such a fascinating character. Like that gun scene actually shook me.

When you see number and title of episode, look at the background picture, it shows us part of paradis land and wall Maria, the sea, ships and the part of Marley land. Since episode 1 it was there

Since you finished Medalist, couldn't you maybe make 2 eps of AOT per week? Also hoping for Infinity castle

J-or-Dan

the Jaws traits aren't really the mask and big claws, its traits are is really small size and biting power also I think when he started the 9 weren't as solidified

Helpy

Sarah with the theories as usual 😂Lets see how this one plays out

Ali Hassan Liaquat

There’s a second season of medalist, so they’ll watch that now likely

They mention it briefly here and there in some episodes, but when it comes to titan powers, it's implied training and innate talent play a role in how well you can use the powers. The Marlayen warrior candidates have years of training, access to recorded knowledge about specific titan powers, and also get to interact and get mentoring from the people they inherit their powers from (like we see with Zeke and Colt who will inherit the beast titan). It's also been implied that the first transformation is very disorienting and most people black out and can't control their titan form at first, but Reiner mentioned that Berthold was a natural and could use the Colossal titan immediately, which is rare. In season 2 or 3 Reiner also mentioned he was surprised Eren learned to use his titan powers so quickly and even figured out how to do hardening. Eren and Ymir basically learned everything from scratch without a manual or anyone to guide them so that's why they weren't using their titan powers to their full potential. They also mentioned that Grisha was able to beat the founding titan (which is supposed to be the strongest) because she had just recently gotten her titan powers and couldn't use them to their full potential yet. Ymir's titans does have some minor differences from her dumb titan form though, her flat teeth become shark-like, and her fingers also look sharper in her new form. Very subtle differences but they're there. We'll never know if that was her true final appearance or if she was still working out the kinks since she never had a chance to practice and only transformed like 3 or 4 times max before she was sacrificed to give Porco the Jaw titan. We saw that when Erin was first figuring out how to transform, his appearance and size varied a lot since he wasn't fully in control yet so in theory it could have been possible for Ymir's appearance to change too if she had more time to train and get more familiar with her titan powers. It's just my own theory though I don't know if that was ever confirmed by the author so take it with a grain of salt.

“I still don’t understand anything” is what Ellen had said repeatedly in the past.love that juxtaposition. Also this episode explains why Annie is always yawning in the past episodes , cuz she had to do all these spy stuff at night.

Ymir's "Dumb/Pure" Titan is not the same as her "Jaw". there's a couple of differences :) Fictionally, any number of reason/s can be provided in the lore as to why she looks the "same". (Maybe spent too long as "dumb" that genetically the "Jaw" did not fully develop? Ymir's being a "commoner" and her Eldian blood is not enough to push the full potential of the Jaw? etc) But you're right, the REAL reason would be for more of a Story Purposes - Reiner & Bert and Us the Audience need to recognize her as the very same titan that ate Marcel

Hey didn’t know where else to ask but are you guys going to react to the demon slayer movie now that it’s out on streaming? Love AOT content 💙

Adam Schulz

We will watch infinity castle at some point. Trying to figure out how to release it with YouTube having some strikes being handed out for reacting to it.

just subscribed to the patreon! kindly requesting you dont watch the opening song/credits from episode 17-22. loaded w spoilers! added bonus too if you skip it you can make a whole reaction video on that opening after. otherwise you guys are amazing reactors. keep it up!

Kigen Maina

thats such a good questio about ymir looking the same. one theory has been the more trained/skilled you are the more personalized/specific your titan is. maybe its not even that but based on personality.
