20-30 is my go to usually. It depends sometimes if it’s longer like a podcast, I’ll turn it on in the background until I want to watch something else. Over 40 min I’m probably not clicking it just because I get bored and feel bad if I don’t watch all the way thru 😅😅

Marissa

For other YouTube content, 10-15 minutes. For your content, as long as possible, like a half hour or more because I like watching videos in the evening. I’ll turn on a video and then let the algorithm keep your videos running so I can watch and unwind before bed :) your content is the best!

Genevieve

20-30, but 15-25 is really the ideal time for me

Lianne Conroy

I like 10-15. More than that and I start to lose focus

Trisa

10-15 min is great for most videos, but if it's a really interesting subject/story it can be any length.

Carole

20 to 30 minutes for me

Cas

It really depends on the video but longer than 30 minutes generally is too long and less than 10 is too short.

Naomiskyyy

20-30 is a pretty decent time for me😅

Less than 10’ always seems like a “quick adventure” to me and I can let myself spend those. It often turns into a number of adventures though🙈 And those are usually the first ones I watch on my “Watch later” playlist.

20-30min is good length, but if the topic is really interesting and demands deep dive into the topic, then longer time is fine. Depends on what kind of a video. I agree with Genevieve that in general 15-25min is ideal.

Like I said in response to your Instagram story: As long as you are happy and comfortable with the length of your videos and have fun making them, I am more than happy to watch whatever length of video you post.

It doesn't matter how long or short your videos are. I'll watch them all. Sometimes I'll watch YT shorts or at most 10 mins coz I'm rushing to eat during tight lunch timeframe. And I just need a breather to take my mind off from work. I'll watch anything - TV, YT, podcasts or livestreams - until I drift off to sleep. I don't have a fixed duration for bedtime viewing coz it all depends on how tired I am. At times, I won't view until another night when I feel less tired.

If we're talking in general, or like a random video from a channel / creator I'm not familiar with, I prefer 20-30 mins because they fit into my lunch break. However, it also depends on the type and dynamics of the show. If I already know it's a podcast-type video, I wouldn't mind it running over 40+ mins or even an hour. For specific topics that I purposefully search for (because I need answers or info), I don't mind shorter videos since I can quickly check out different ones

Ok so this might be a bit specific, but after a really stressful day my wind-down routine is to treat myself to a sugary soda and a little 🌿 smoke while watching one of your videos 😂 and since the 20-30 min videos fit the timeframe for that perfectly, I prefer those 😂🤭❤️

Honestly, depends on why I'm YouTube in the first place or what mood I'm in. If I'm looking up a 'How do I do xxx' video then short and simple, if I'm mooching about and seeing things that intrigue me, then any length really.

18 to 25 minutes to me in general. Depends on the content but 10 or less minutes, with your type of content, it seems like it goes by too quickly. With "song building challenge" type of videos, I prefer longer videos (it can be more than the 25 minutes) because I like to see the behind-the-scenes progress and how things are done :)

Gayle

Length is relative to the entertainment I get out of the video. However, this does include the amount of joy in the video. As in the presenter(s) are joyful then the video could be an hour. Time is dependent on how well the participants can be in a joyful or uplifting vibe .....it has to be genuine. If it feels "plastic" then that negates any time of the video. Watching can be boring quick when the joy isn't real. Real joy is contagious. ✌️✌️✌️❤️❤️❤️😂😂😂

Depending on the topic/project, time is subjective for most. If attention span is an issue, find the sweet spot in retention, & go from there. I'm sure you'll find a sweet spot with time, may your upcoming/future projects continue to go well Mate 🐺🐾

Depends on my mood. I have ADHD and can REALLY feel it sometimes where... If I see something longer than 10 minutes, I tell myself that I'll get to it when I can give it the time it deserves and proceed to doom scroll for the amount of time it would have taken me to just watch the video XD So in those moments, I'll be clicking on videos that are like... 0-3 minutes. Haha! But then when I'm sitting on the couch downstairs with food, wanting to watch some videos, that's when I'll go find the ones that are 10-30 min long. I've been seeing a lot of hourly ones lately from content creators I like, but I just can't dedicate that kind of time in one sitting. If I was smart, I would just watch them in chunks, but I guess I'm not. Cause then my ADHD kicks in and I go "I'll save that for another time." And then my OCD kicks in after that and I feel like I cannot go out of order with the YouTube videos and end up not watching anything instead... I'm so behind on videos because of that TT_TT
