As promised, I've brought all of the exercises together into a single PDF workbook which you can find attached below.

Also, thanks to everybody for all the great song/lesson requests, do keep them coming!

Thank you ...

On the subject of requests I’ll like to suggest Men an Tol by the Levellers

Hi Adrian. All the best for 2026. Thank you so much for taking time to put the challenge/exercises together. I have found challenge Day 1 to be difficult. Even though I thought I was quite dexterous. Having spent some time this morning, I have finally got it down. I set myself the challenge of doing it hybrid picking style. Take care

thank you, Adrian. Happy New Year!

Night shift by siouxsie and the banshees would be a great lesson. No one on you tube covering it. Thanks for all you do.

Christopher Houlihan

Sour Girl by Stone Temple Pilots, please. Loved this year's technique challenge.

Lewis McNeilly

Really enjoyed the working man blues solo lesson, could you do another Roy Nichols breakdown? Corrine Corrina by Merle Haggard would be great

How about some more surf? You've done Pipeline from The Chantays. They have a few more songs I'd really like to learn: El Conquistador, Blunderbus, and Banzai. Also, a classic Dick Dale surf song is Let's Go Trippin'.

Hi Adrian. How about a lesson on Heavy Metal? I'd love to know what makes it tick. Is it mainly the distortion? What chords, scales and modes give it it's distinctive sound? What makes Metal Heavy?

Glen Maupin

Could you explain the relationship between a songs melody and chord changes? If it's not a basic 1 4 5 repetition I have a problem figuring out which chords to use and when the changes occur.

Hi Adrian. Happy New Year. These challenges are a great way to start the year. As always, thank-you for what you do: your lessons have helped me rediscover my love for guitar after many fallow years. PS. gazing reverently at Roland S. Howard's Fender Jaguar in the Australian Music Vault the other day reminded me; more lessons on his stuff would be awesome ;)

Ted Alkins

Thanks Adrian. I'm doing your excellent soloing course right now, so I only dipped in and out of the technique challenge. Stored the exercises away to work on in the future

Could we have a Triads lesson showing how to build the different chord types and extensions from each triad on each string set? Who doesn't like a good lesson on triads? Thanks for being you Adrian!

Hey Adrian! Thanks as always for your lovely, digestible content. Could you do some tutorial videos on the guitar work of Mick Ronson, David Bowie's guitarist? Thank you!!
