Here's the backing. I've looped it a few times to make it longer. It's a nice progression to improvise over as well. G major/G major pentatonic will work throughout, or you can explore a more chord tone kind of approach, bringing out the notes in each of the chords as they pass by.

How to play "Older Guys" FBB version! =D

Hi Adrian, just a quick question about the backing track. The only way I can get the first four measures of the solo to line up with the music, is if I start playing after the first count of 4 beats. Then you play only one bar of G before the Am. So essentially for it to work, I'm playing the first measure of the solo over that second 4 beats of the count. Is that right? Seems a little odd. Anyway nice solo, love doing those whole step bends :)

Hi Gary. Yes, the issue is that the solo starts with a ' pick-up phrase', just before chord progression starts. Or you could think of it as beginning in bar 4 of the 4 bar chord cycle. So yes, you'll need to come after the 1st 4 beats of the count. Or wait til the backing has started, and come in on bar 4 of the cycle. Hope that helps!

Thanks Adrian. Just a few minutes after I had posted my comment I listened to "Sweetheart of the Rodeo" and immediately realized what was going on. My mistake! I feel silly. Should have listened to the original recording before posting. But I appreciate the reply, cheers!

Hi Jesse - yes, tab is in the previous post. If you can't find it, let me know and I'll give you a direct link.

Hi, I’m looking for the tab for this lesson

Patreon forces me to post the audio and the tab separately - so it might sometimes take a bit of searching before you find what you're after! Hope you enjoy learning this one, and thanks for the support on here!
