This week a fabulous country solo from Tele master Roy Nichols. Here's the link:

I've tabbed it all out below. And I've included some picking suggestions too (just what works for me; feel free to do things differently if you prefer).

The backing track will be in the following post.

Hope you enjoy learning this one, speak next week!

Where is the backing track for this?

I started following you because you were doing so much post-punk that I love, but now I'm totally into the country and solo blues lessons. Keep up the great work. I'd love a lesson covering the rest of the song.

Alan Patrickson

Fabulous, keep the country coming. I’ve learned so much from these, and this one’s a challenge

Thanks Alan. Yes, it is quite a challenging solo, but worth the effort learning it I think.

Thanks Matthew. Yes, I'm essentially a post-punk, indie music fan so I'm not quite sure how it happened that I'm doing these kind of country guitar lessons. But I really enjoy playing and teaching this kind thing. Might well look at the rest of the song if people are are interested.

This is such a great lesson. It is going to take a bit to digest all the cool pieces. Thank you Adrian!

Hi Adrian great as always, hope all is well.

Hi Adrian, really enjoying your content -- thanks for all you're efforts keeping us busy and entertained during the pandemic. Would it be possible to upload the Guitar Pro files in Mac format also?

anyonecanplayguitar

Thank-you John! The .gp files should work on a Mac too. I'm a Mac user too, and they work for me. You will need to have Guitar Pro 7 though, I think, as the file format doesn't work with earlier editions of the software. If you can't get things working, let me know and I'll do my best to help.
