For those of you who'd like to play along to this week's backing track, here you go. I was trying to think the opposite of blues, so ended up with a drum machine and synth-based idea. Key of E minor. Have fun!

Great sound! Thank you!

My E minor pentatonic is a bit rusty from all the A minor I’ve prioritized the last while. Good timing Adrian to keep the ball rolling with new and interesting lessons. Thanks 👍

This is a question I have for anyone who cares to give me their opinion. Does anyone use the GP files? I guess they work with an app called Guitar Pro? Your advice ?

Yes, E is probably the next most common key on the guitar, so good to get comfortable with that too!

Hi there. Yes, you need Guitar Pro software (or you can get some free alternatives) to open the files. It enables you to play back the tab, change speed, edit notes etc. It can be a very useful practice tool. But the content of the tab is exactly the same as the PDF, so you may decide you don't need it.

Guitar Pro is a great tool. You can change the tempos of the files as well and work up to the right speed. It also helps to isolate and hear parts as well. You can loop sections, etc.
