Love is not a strong enough word for this movie! But watching it with the Munchies and now the Angels, *chef's kiss*! One of the all time greatest fantasy movies ever. RIP Rob Reiner. Tien, I don't know how you could get your address to me, but I will send you the book if there is some way to do that. If there is a PO Box or something where you all can get mail, please let me know. ☺️

Hello Angels!! INCONCEIVABLE !!! 😂😂 That's gonna be a fun one!! I discovered this movie for the first time with Lan, Chi and Tiên! and I had exactl the same devellopement as the Kid!! First " princess's bride? is that gonna be a romance thing? not really my things but let's try it! the thumbnail show an adventure vibe in a medieval/renaisance period, that can still be interresting for me who like those period." Then, "ok its funny to see the kid reacting like me, and the comedy is good for now." and then "wow, the swordfight is impressive! and the comedy is really good!" and finally "what already over ?!" 😂 It's one of those movie who proved "you must not judge a book by his cover!!" 😅 I know Ran and Yuri will love it, and me I'm gonna have a very good time!! (even more watching Tiên struggling to not spoill anything!). and the thumbnail is already fun!! what happened to Ran ?? 🤣🤣 Let's Go !!! For the movie Thanks I have Tom and Jerry's theme in the head now ! 🤣🤣 Oh I love the little boy's commentary through the movie !! 😅 (seriously, it's something I could really said! 🤣) And I think Yuri and Ran are having a "cuteness-overload" !! 🤣 🤣 Tiên is even more funny! "if you never love again, marry the rich one !" 🤣🤣 She didn't forget that one!! 😂 Yes, the climbing, we can clearly see they were drag!😂 I learned that cart Elwes (the actor of Westley) trained so much for his fencing, both in and outside his work, he became a real accomplish swordman! (even more impressive as he fight with both hands !) so well, he did end his fight during the first take very quick! they had to reshoot because of that. but the swordfight between him and Montoya is saw as one of the best sword duel ever!! not in"spectacle" but in technics and accuracy for a real fencing ! they fought like a real duelist would do! simple as that. he's the top 5 of many top about duels in movie (alongside Hector Vs Achilles from Troy!) So yeah, it seems fancy and funny. but exactly how it goes. (except for the time they passed the sword between their legs, of course !! 🤣) If you wonder about fezzik the giant. Yes, he is a real giant. André the giant ( he was french). 2.24m high for 236 kg !!! He also had a wrestler carreer (so yes, the fight between them was not balanced at all! 🤣) but his heigh gave him many health problem...For short, his body is huge, but his heart wasn't strong enough to hold for a full life..... he died at 46 years old in 1993 (7 years after the movie), heart failure. (but knowing he was gonna die early, he abuse alcohol and a "wild" life. so maybe that's why. "You're trying to kidnapp what I've rightfully stolen" I don't know why but I love this quote !! 😂 (feel like something a politician would say ! 😇😅) But yeah Vizzini is giving an headhache when choosing the wine ! 😂 Don't worry about the horse's back, he'll be fine!😅 "Why boys hate kissing part?" That's life one great mysteries , Tiên !! My theory (based on my experience as a kid): for short, "why do you kiss now? we have the bad guys behind us and we are not safe yet !! can you keep it that for your private moment at the ending once we get out of here and safe, please!!" That's my main idea. Boys are more "grounded"/ pragmatic and "Love" is not their concern at that age, they are more into action (fighting and making the story going!). So they don't see the point of it, except for slowing down the story ("stick to the story" please...). When Girls are more romantic by nature, even at that age, I guess...🤷‍♂️.... you'll explain the girl's POV better than me!! But that's my guess. Now is it true or just me making my own thinking? maybe...I don't know...Nobody care! 😂 That's not quicksand. it shoukd have water in it. Now, My big question... how do you thing the grand-father is explaining the torture scene without scaring the boy !? 😂😂 "Guide my sword" yeah, this one, I can't decide if it's God, luck , comedy or lazy writing ! it's so dumb but it work ! we laugh !!😅 it's for scene like that the movie is so good! "Have fun storming the castle!"= me each time playing "Bannerlord" and trying to take a castle without getting KO again !! 😂😂SPOILER, I always find a way to have an arrow in the head when storming a siege in this game.... 🤬😂 But seriously, very good lines to use when playing games!!😂 Again, How the grand-father is explaining the killing of the count and the explanation of "to the pain" to the grandchild!? 😅 You think the grand-father really said "son of a b*tch" before his grand-son ? 😂 For the conclusion Yuri ?! Ran!? why ??😂 YES, the effect of the big rat and some element are pretty fake. Now with only 16 million$ of budget (which for the time was seen as very thigh for a medieval fantasy movie) most of it going into the costumes and background...Yeah, we can easily understand why!😅 OK I laughed too much with Yuri knocking out Ran and Tiên! 😂 Tiên resume it well: It's a cute movie to have your inner child happy and laugh a lot while having a very good time! Ok it's a cheesy story of fairy tail with obvious happy ending, many cliché and many flaws if we dig into it. But honestly, the humour is so good, some line so funny , the acting so well done, the duel so well done and so on! we don't even want to do that! We are like Yuri: we see the flaws but we enjoyed it nonetheless !! It's what we can call "a guilty pleasure" 😂. a good movie to enjoy with all the familly (even the kid, despite my jokes about the grandfather saying "son of b...h" in front of his grandsons !) it's so cute nonetheless! It's a great familly movie. Thank again for the good time! I had a wonderfull one. Or Dare I say: an INCONCEIVABLE good time!! 😅😉 Have a good day Angels!

AS YOU WISH ASIAN MUNCHIES!!!

This is such a great movie. The duel at the Cliffs of Insanity between Inigo Montoya and Westley is considered one of the most brilliant and frequently quoted sword-fighting scenes in film history. The giant Fezzik was played by professional wrestler André the Giant. André’s impressive size was due to a condition called acromegaly. From what one hears and reads about him, and judging by interviews, he was a truly kind and warm-hearted person. I once saw an interview where he said he was very proud of his role in The Princess Bride and that he regularly watched the movie with his friends. As always, that was an hilarious reaction, Angels. 💜

Wxyz@73

Columbo and Kevin Arnold in the same movie. 😁 Of course Billy Crystal and Carol Kane were hilarious. Great reaction.

Please review "When Harry met Sally" or "Straight out of Compton" please.

Johnny S.

Cary Elwes also appears in Liar Liar Glory and Robin Hood Men in Tights.

Gurkha Legend

I wouldn't worry about trying to find a copy of the novel. A decent chunk of it is told from the point of view of the author (a fake version of the real author) who is a published author in the book too, trying to track down the story his father read to him so he can give it to his kid, only to find out the book is long and plodding, so he undertakes the task of creating a version of only "the good parts" for his son. It takes quite a while for the actual movie story to get going and the book is a little darker. The book does go more into the back story of Vizzini, Fezzik and Inigo/father though. Interesting fact, my favorite quote, "Life is pain. Anyone who says differently is selling something" was actually said by Fezzik's mother.
