Do you mind if i/we post minor error/continuity issues?
I saw this during a re-read https://outrunlitrpg.miraheze.org/wiki/Main_Page I’d like to give huge thank you to Llenay. This was/is a lot of work
Yeah! Llenay’s been putting in the work. Sure on the continuity thing. I rewrote a large chunk from 1-60 I think for the publisher, but I’ll get around to reworking the rest at some point. Probably if they want to publish a part 2?
I didn’t think people would like Eel so much ^^
I’ve got a couple ideas in the works for him. It’ll probably be a while though? Got a lot to do and then introduce the last crew member.
Is the rewrite on RR or Patron?
Please post when it’s released. I found this about a month ago and I’m already on a 2nd reread
It was on RR. You might’ve already read the rewrite? Or passed me by while I was rewriting? It was about a month or two ago. Only the first sixty or so chapters were rewritten. For now, anyway.
Scribblehub has the complete original. I found editing on SH really annoying, so I’ve hardly touched it over there including fixing some plot holes and stuff.
I’m glad your liking it!
I noticed two things during my reread. Blinder and Blackout are used interchangeably. There were two(?) times where you spoke about the veil between the Aether and Earth. One point it was thick at Fox’s shrine and another it thin. This is during the Mother arc at the tree.
Blackout was specifically what Advent created, and the Blinder was Shiro’s take on it.
Yeah, basically the veil was just the ‘dimensional wall’ between dimensions. It’ll probably come up more and more once she gets out of the city. Places where it’s thin allow creatures of the Aether to get through without any help. The Aether bird at New Tress City, for example. Where it’s thick, they can’t.
Its all a bit confusing because I haven’t really gotten into the creatures of the Aether that aren’t sprites or eidolons yet.
It would be great if you could message me when you do larger edits so I can update the wiki. I already noticed the 1-60 edits and have them in the wiki.
You can also add them to the wiki. Create a Talk page for the arc like this:
https://outrunlitrpg.miraheze.org/wiki/Talk:Chapter_216:_Return_to_the_Ryu_Container_Yard
I already pointed LostRain to them, but he says he doesn’t have the time at the moment to fix them.
The latest outrun chapter is posted in the myth/os collection, chapter 318
Thank you! It’s fixed now.
Lost opportunity in having a crossover :p

Hi! Just want to say I’m loving the story! Finished book one on Amazon and am looking to continue the adventure!
Just a little confused on where to go from it as the RR version starts at chapter 66 post-stub and the book itself ends at chapter 82. Just wondering if I’ve missed something! (I’ve seen mentions of a rewrite so I suspect it’s that! Do I need to go on Scribblehub for it?)
You can use either site, though RR was usually better written. Basically, when I was turning the webnovel into a book, I cut up the chapters more to improve pacing. 65 something chapters ended up turning to a lot more. 66 should be where it all continues. Starts with Shiro on her bike.
Ah very good! Just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing anything! Thanks!
Hey, I’m just going to mention this here since this feels like the right place. I understand that it’s a simple mistake caused by a one line dropped like 60 chapters before possible payoff during a very intense storyline but dropped plotpoints like this are a pet peeve of mine so I’ll just leave this here.
In chapter 227 there was this line: “Before doing anything else, I sent a message to Shinobu. ‘Crusade making its move. Bad time to be out.’
A few minutes later, as I cleaned up, a response from the Jade Fang Enforcer came. ‘Roger. Thanks, mikata. I’ve informed the Elders. The Matriarch sends her regards, as well as a gift next time you come by the Dragoon Saloon.’”
Nothing came of this line despite multiple interactions with jade fang in general and shinobu in particular so I would suggest getting rid of the “as well…” Part as adding an unimportant gift would be a letdown and a significant one would be really complicated to add retroactively.
I know it’s a small thing but this type of small thing really drives me crazy as a reader
Yes, that is something I need to clear up. I definitely forgot about it for a bit. I’m trying to decide if I should just remove it, or what I want to do with the gift. I’ll come to a decision sometime before they leave the city, though.
It looks like it was really unfortunate, unlucky choice of publisher for Outrun. Heard about audiobook problem too. I recently finished both books. I encountered bunch of grammatical/typing errors, which should be easily found and corrected by running it through automatic grammar checking tool before publishing. I think this final step of check should be done by publisher itself before releasing it, alas I don’t know either the contract nor the exact publishing process you have with your publisher. In any case, it is something to keep in mind when working on publishing the next books. It would be shame to have the feel of the book quality lowered by such easy to fix problem.
Wait wait what happened?????
Yeah, edits are something I need to talk to them about for book 3. That’s after I went back through it several times and caught a bunch of errors that the editor missed too.
To be fair, though, the audible situation ins’t necessarily the publisher’s fault. It’s the third party company that they sold the rights too… though I guess that could still be considered their fault for giving the rights to someone who wouldn’t use them. The situations a little more complex than that, though, and partly because Audible changed their contracts with the company that owns my audio rights.
Igor I believe it’s a typo, replace ‘gift’ with ‘favour’ and it checks out during her CMS acquisition arc with the lawyer contract.
Its time catch up on outrun I’ve only been letting it marinate close to a year
Was there supposed to be an outrun chapter yesterday, or did I miss an announcement?
