Here’s my guesses Blaine Dune Part Two Jon Wicked Gus Juror #2: I’m ready to be completely wrong, but here’s my attempt. My personal favourite from this year was Wallace and gromit vengeance most fowl.

Sam G

Nice way to pop off the new year woo

TonTon101

Happy new year! I am so happy to be a support of this wonderful podcast. I hope you covered the new Nosferatu and hope it was someone's favorite. Other than that have no clue what other movies to guess really.

Samber

Happy New Year! I am not going to guess yalls top 5 cuz I don't watch all the movies so I probably won't know half of them. But I will tell you top 5 of the movies I saw in 2024. 1. Dune pt. 2. Absolutely amazing. Epic. It somehow surpassed all of my expectations. 2. Wicked. Visually stunning. Beautifully executed. I feel like I waited 20 years to see this and it did not disappoint. Excited for Act 2. 3. Damsel, with Millie Bobby Brown. Great concept and I love dragons. Great re-watch value. 4. The Adam Project. I know I'm late to the game on this one, but I'd never seen it before and it was so good. I laughed. I cried. I watched it again. 5. Red One. Now, I don't usually do holiday movies. Especially not christmas movies. But this one was pretty bad ass. And an honorable mention to Wolverine & Deadpool. Great fan service.

Will 100s Beavers be on their lists?

Noga

Love 100s of beavers.

Noga

Where's Wicked?

Tauro

What kind of apps or software do you use to keep track of the movies you've watched (to be watched)?

Jon Risinger

Trying to give you good things to end the year with.

Jon Risinger

I'm seeing it tonight for the first time.

TonTon101

I thought it was great! Hope you enjoy it.

Tauro

This is wonderful, thank you!

Micaiah Beilharz

Red one is very good. Someone in my family said this about it “Come in with expectations and you will be disappointed, but come in with none, and you will have a blast.” (Their fav actor is also the Rock so I don’t know if that helps, but…

Micaiah Beilharz

Haha! I am sometimes because in Aussie time, it is like late afternoon/evening so a great time.

Micaiah Beilharz

Of course Jon will say wicked. I haven’t seen the Wallace and Gromit one that you mentioned. Now on my movie list 🥳🥳

Rei Locke

I'm with Blaine on this. I can't stand stop motion. (Celebrity Death Match traumatized me as a child, so claymation is another trigger for me, too) But I love puppets sooo much. Maybe if there was a puppet version of that show, I'd perhaps not like puppets either. But puppets are just too lovely for that to happen.

RageMaiden

2024 wasn't the best for movies though I agree with Gus on alien romulas was awesome. Not a new movie but watched meet Jo black for the first time and I think John would like it! Thought it was brilliant 90s Brad Pitt what an actor!

Lemmon64

Listen, I know we had a stinkypop for wicked but giving that movie more love will never be a bad thing. And frankly I'm so surprised that John didn't have it on his list. Happy new year!

Blaize Gordon

I have to argue with Jon on 1 point about Garfield, yes it is objectively a bad movie, however I loved the animation nods that pay homage to ways they would draw the original comics, I loved all the visual gags and there were a couple of funny jokes, but other than that yeah bad movie

Blaize Gordon

Also thank you so much for this amazing stinky pops, I'd love one for anime if possible in the future!

Tauro

I am now!

Slug

Some other movies that came out this year that I think are worth a watch: Flow Anora Saturday Night (my personal favorite movie of 2024) The Wild Robot Challengers Nosferatu Civil War I Saw the TV Glow Boy Kills World (GREAT action) Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare

Fanaticka888

I love Stinky Pop! I don't watch a lot of films but this podcast gives great recommendations!

Morgan Deakin

I’m so glad John’s #1 was We Live in Time. Movie was so so good. I completely agree about Florence and Andrew’s chemistry, it was off the charts!

Ryx

Off topic and late. But I want Jon to know i started listening to Dungeons and Daddies because of him.

Silly_goober

THE WILD ROBOT!!!! I swear I have never cried at a movie before I watched this one!! It may come across as “just for kids” but animation is for everyone and in my humble opinion everyone should have the chance to watch the wild robot.

Tommy DiBenedetto

I would like to recommend the the movie “Look back” for you are an artist, You will love this movie

Jon Risinger

I saw it and I think I need to rewatch it. Felt like I didn't love it as much as literally everyone else who saw it. Might have just not been in the right mood. Happens sometimes.

Jon Risinger

It's hard to pick a number one movie but that one just hit me hard so it stayed with me.

Jon Risinger

I watched Anora first of this year. Soooooo good. I loved it.

Jon Risinger

Specifically, didn't have it on the list because we had dedicated a whole episode on it. But fun fact: went and saw it a second time during Christmas with the whole family while they were in town for the holidays. My kids have seen it 4 times.

Jon Risinger

It is on my list to rewatch. Been forever since I watched it and I basically love anything Brad Pitt is in. (almost)

Jon Risinger

Follow up: it was fantastic.

TonTon101

Glad you enjoyed! I think verses all the modern takes on vampires, I think Nosferatu really is a breathe of fresh air. Same goes for Voyage of the Demitri.

Lemmon64

Fair enough, can't argue with the dedication!

Jason Knight

I only watched two new films last year, Deadpool And Wolverine and Borderlands - no prizes for guessing which I’d put as my number one lol. Really wanted to see Heretic but didn’t get round to it, and was too busy over Christmas to see Wallace And Grommit: Vengeance Most Fowl which I know would definitely take top spot

Highlife_Swede_Official

For me, the top of the list has to be LOTR: War of the Rohirrim. I just started my Voice Acting Journy as that came out and it just igniggted a fire that hasn't gone away. It was so good!

Levi Frisco

Ok … I did the same thing as Gus and just watched The Substance… as most American movies go it was predictable to a point … and you were correct, the last 30 mins or so of the movie was like the FX team had too much allocated money in the budget that needed to be spent 😂🤪🤠
