The gods of technical errors delayed the release of this episode which was meant to be our last episode of 2025 all the way until now. But even faulty RAM can't stop the world from hearing what movies Gustavo Sorola watched and loved in 2025!

Can’t believe gus hated 2025 so badly he had to wait to give films from 2026.

Good Boy has a critics' score of 90% and 82% audience score. How is that mixed reviews?!

I have a similar experience with planning on seeing the Chinese animated film, Legend of Hei 2. So, I found the first one on Netflix. It fell super flat. Pretty much hated it. No longer planning on seeing the sequel. On the other hand, I also went to see Nobody last year. Really fun with great animation. Would have hit much harder emotionally if I wasn't so lost given my utter lack of understanding Chinese folk lore.

Feel-good documentaries I've Went to see 15 or 16 documentaries from last year at the movie theater. Not all of them are insanely depressing slogs. Secret Mall Apartment (does touch upon difficult topics like gentrification); Endless Cookie is an animated documentary with some difficult sections. But it's slice of Canadian indigenous life scenes are wonderful and heartwarming. The New Yorker at 100 has a lot of magazine fluff to enjoy. Come See Me in the Good Light deals with terminal character but is also quite funny and heartwarming too.

Kareem was in Game of Death.

How come this came out so much later than expected?

Jon Risinger

Thanks for notifying us of this. We have fixed the problem and the episode should join the RSS feed asap and that will include Spotify.

My (Jon) computer fell deathly ill before I could release it at its scheduled time.

Though Rotten Tomatoes is considered by most to be the main source for film reviews, I (Jon) find other sources like Letterboxd to be more accurate due to the way it calculates its scores. I hope that clarifies things a little more.

I am glad you were able to save the episode. I hope your computer is feeling better now.
