You correctly figured out that Gen V takes place right after S3 of The Boys. Season 4 then chronologically follows Gen V. Amazon intended to have that continue with another season of Gen V followed by S5 of TB. With the unexpected passing of Chance Perdomo, the next season of Gen V has been put on hold, while (as far as we know) The Boys S5 is still supposed to start filming now, although I wouldn’t be surprised if it also gets postponed. Just not sure they have as much leeway to do so, as Karl Urban is also going to be booked soon with the next Star Trek movie. So it might film but have to be shelved until they can film Gen V.

Loved your face when Alex appeared. As you can tell he's not a main character in the show! The blonde woman Kate - you recognise her as she is in Supernatural in season 14 (the obsessed girl who had a dead boyfriend). I'm looking forward to the rest of your Gen V journey.

I LOVE Gen V (a little bit more than the boys I think). Maybe it’s because I am the direct target audience (queer 20 y/o uni student who likes the boys) but I just find it so engaging. I think the characters are overall a bit better done than in the boys— IMO the boys can get a bit black and white with their characters while Gen v does a great job of portraying pretty much everyone as a shade of morally grey. I also love how interesting and endearing all the characters are. I particularly love Jordan. I was so excited to see an amazing portrayal of a bigender person. I think the actors are all great (RIP Chance Perdomo, so sad to lose him so soon) So exited for the next gen v reaction :)

Yeeeey gen v here we go! I love this show even more than the boys, so happy to rewatch with u Jorden has a cool power that changes when they change forms, that's why they kept switching during the fight, the male form is physically strong almost invincible while the female form is faster and have these power blasts that the male form doesn't have, so they use the male form for defense and the female form for offense, it's very clever how they display that by showing not telling, pretty cool. I am so sad we lost a beautiful soul like chance, he was a great actor and had lots of potentials and seemed like a sweet guy, I liked his acting a lot, RIP

The thought of watching teenage angst in The Boys universe did not initially fill me with enthusiasm but the characters sucked me in straight away and I like the show just as much as The Boys. I like how the show has retained the satire but applied it in more personal scenarios aimed at younger people.

It was so surprising that Golden Boy died in the first episode. I mean, you have a Schwarzenegger headed to The Seven. So now who is gonna be ranked #1? I never imagined that they would rank them like athletes. It makes sense, though, since upon graduation they go into a draft for the most lucrative crime fighting assignments.

Gen V is so smart in its setup and story, but the characters really made it for me – and yes, most of the core characters seem like dicks in the first episode but as the series goes on you find out more about them and their traumas, and they're all so engaging.
