So, uh, I think Bill Maher might not have expected the extremely negative reaction his segment on having dinner with Trump at the White House got, because he went on Los Angeles Magazine & TMZ's joint podcast "2 Angry Men" to defend it, and also explain why he is actually maybe the bravest guy in America. It's absolute LOSER shit.

Bill's insistence that he was the first person to do pretty much everything reminds me of Trump's insistence that everything he does is the biggest and best and most attractive and good.

"As I say, I should be a hero" is legit hilarious. Beyond the wildly misplaced sense of his act's importance/meaning, and beyond a supposedly seasoned comic obliviously opening himself to a host of "yeah, well I should ___" cracks, it's the "as I say," like he's quoting himself on his own perceived heroism. Like he couldn't find any other source for this sentiment, besides him. Which of course he can't. There's no ladder tall enough for this man to get over himself. But at least we got this all-timer BM line (also, wasn't he two seconds ago pleading the case that, in this WH dinner context, he was "just a comedian"? -- a claim about his own self-appraisal which Will immediately and rightfully called bullsh*t on. As Bill -- and only Bill -- now says, he's a hero)

Okay, Elon Musk is by far the most wretched and pathetic piece of shit that ever existed, but Bill is really giving him a run for his money. What a fucking delusional loser! How are some men this insanely arrogant?

I wince every time. If there were a censored version where all that was bleeped was the smacking, it would be such a sweet relief.

The Hey Eliott Podcast

This is Bill Maher’s Marc Maron moment. Obama went to his garage and Maher capitulated to Trump. He’s going to chew on this bone for a decade.

Aaron

Maher bills himself as a charismatic insightful man with the gift of gab and he’s none of those things. He’s boring unintelligent and has nothing to even really say.

Aaron

Mad magazine was making fun of Trump in the 80s

How can this be when Harvey Levin assures us that Bill is one of the most intelligent people he has ever known

Aaron

I think it like how I tell my boss I’m a hard worker all the time and he just started to believe it one day.

Bill continues his post WH visit handwringing near the start of this week's Club Random (w/ Charlie Kirk) ... Also later on at 1:09:20.

I love how he says "I'm hardly the first person to report" on Trump's different private demeanor, showing there is one thing that Maher does not take credit for starting

I can't believe the same piece of shit berating drew barrymore for personalising voting is personalising a fascist humouring him during the soup course.
