Unfortunately, I saw Tony Hinchcliffe on Bill Maher and just sort of knew I had a quasi moral responsibility to watch it. I couldn't bear the thought of watching the whole thing and then having to rip sound clips and then organize my thoughts and finally record the fucking thing, so I did a live react. Ha ha, just kidding, I did the first half of a live react because I got so fucking pissed off that I rage quit and went and got fish tacos. Second part coming tomorrow, and with God as my witness I will finish this fucking thing off. Here's the other unfortunate thing that happened: I lost the edited video file, so as of now this is only in audio format. I might reedit it over the next couple of days, depending on how much I value my mental health.

I ate at Playita Mariscos, one of the few remaining old Silver Lake restaurants still standing

YouTube ads think I’m a wildly impotent, porn-addicted and ashamed Christian husband who needs to know about Northrop Grumman, the CIA’s masterclass, and Tony Robbins The biggest YouTuber is “Mr Beast,” who makes a farce of charity and tortures people. It’s so on the nose that YT is a tool of the devil.

As someone who's done some open mics, I have a special hatred for Tony Hinchcliffe.

Lilly

holy moly! did anyone else get a 14 second version of this ep last night? ihbm: setting records for longest AND shortest podcast!

Aaron

I’m having a real hard time even starting to listen to this episode. Will you are a true hero for doing this, I would be hate consuming this content on my own unfiltered.

Fred J Walsh

Look forward to listening. My recollection of the CR ep: a very deferential Tony repeatedly promoting the idea of the pair of them as "centrists," with Bill maybe a bit reluctant to be grouped in with him politically. Bill meanwhile has plenty of room to be Bill, and at one point snipes Tony by asking (when T appears ignorant on a matter) whether he had attended high school, a quick burn seemingly taken in stride by the burnmeister. Overall they get on fine as comedy compadres to no one's surprise

Lilly

the hard cut at 1:09 is so great. until i read the show notes, i thought maybe you just had an aneurysm... glad it was just a taco

Will Weldon

I woke up to a text from my friend about it and was like "I'm going to go fix this and then not look at the Patreon or Discord until I'm 70% less annoyed with myself"

Lilly

i keep wanting to offer help editing the show or something, but I'm not sure I'm worth the bother! I hope production goes more smooth for you. Or at least don't loose sleep, if it dont!

Holly B

the hard cut at the end is the perfect punctuation for this episode.

Kudos To You

What the hell was that aircraft carrier thing at 54 mins in? You just said I'd go mentally ill watching it. Was that an ad or something you got on youtube?

Fred J Walsh

I'm also into the synth intro under the norm words

Cclear: watch He Walked by Night (1948)

Can someone tell me the difference between Bill Maher's ghost bullshit and religion? Bill mocked people for believing in angels, but that sounds pretty much like what he's open to re: ghosts. This man is the biggest hypocrite.

Cclear: watch He Walked by Night (1948)

I cannot believe how fucking boring and pointless the opening story about standup comedy is. Usually when Will complains about an episode being boring, I don't think it's that bad, but this episode is horrendous, the worst so far. I do not give a fuck about standup comedy stories or standup comedy in general (no offense Will, you are funny). They are only interesting to comedians, and maybe not even them!

Aaron

I used to volunteer at a nursing home in high school and this opening conversation reminded me of two 80 year olds just incoherently babbling to each other about the old days

Cclear: watch He Walked by Night (1948)

1.1 million dead wasn't enough for these two dumb fucks. We should've let it rip from the very beginning and let hundreds of thousands or millions more die. Two selfish pieces of shit. I cannot believe how much I hate them both.

DBC

"Will's not gonna go for a third part..."

Shayda Haghgoo

I really enjoy when Will sings “random random random” with a monotone voice when the podcast starts. I think he only did it once but I always hope to hear that version when it’s a club random ep

Simon Maraya

"I always say, everything that happens in movies? That happens in real life" Yeah nobody thinks this guy is a moron

Simon Maraya

I'm losing my mind at Hinchcliff talking about the Puerto Rico joke as if there's some brilliant core of irony or satire that everyone missed, and then just restating it verbatim and adding nothing. Bad joke, nasty joke, stupid guys

Shawn R

Club Random is some of the most painfully boring drivel one could possibly subject themselves to.

YOU

This sucks

Alex Shaffer

Is there a patreon support level where we can buy Will ad-free YouTube so he takes less psychic damage from the non Bill Maher parts of the episode? I'm worried about his long term health if he keeps getting worked up over targeted manosphere ads

Will Weldon

I'm going to go my whole life without directly giving money to YouTube

Jobber Joe

I got as far as the WCW reference. One of the worst Nitro segments ever, but that was way better then this pairing,

Jobber Joe

You can have a great time with YouTube...unfortunately it is driven by each choice you make, so self fulfilling bad trip each time you click on content you don't like.

El Jefe Tacoma

haha Wil just banged the mic and cut it there! lol
