Josh Gondelman is the guest this week, and I was VERY curious as to whether or not he would hate Bill Maher at the end.

He's way too nice, my money is on No, but in a sharp way

If we really want to talk about food that leaves you hungry an hour later, it's motel waffles. I don't even bother anymore. It's like eating nothing. I always have to stop at a gas station a few miles after the motel just so I can make it to lunch without my blood sugar crashing. Chinese food has nothing on that. It's mostly rice, meat and veggies. That's actual sustenance. Who the hell came up with this trope?

True cinephiles will recognize the image of Bill trapped inside an old fridge as a lovely homage to his classic claustrophobe character from Body Double

I used to love Bill Maher because he was anti having children and getting married. He, Howard Stern and Tom Leykis were the only people I ever heard questioning that traditional life path that you're "supposed to do", so for a time, they meant a lot to me. Unfortunately they make the child free community look bad

I'm sorry to say it but I disagree with the host and guest. I don't understand thanking "God" for something like winning an award or a sports game. This is one of the few things that Bill is right about. I don't think it's about Bill being unhappy that other people believe in something. In this case that something is incredibly stupid and essentially amounts to thanking your imaginary friend for helping you with an achievement that you made

Josh was a great guest!

When I heard "RFK Jr" I expected to hear the Imperial March honestly. Also I gotta be honest, right around this time I was an active user of the Snopes forums and there was a woman who was a diehard Bill Maher fan and right in this window she also started preaching against flu shots. I feel like right here I'm hearing the episodes that radicalized her. She became a writer for that site by the way, so like, yea, spreading anti-vaxx misinfo was not inherently a bar for writing for the best known fact checking site on earth.
