The second I booked guest Meg Mackay to record with not a lot of turnaround for the edit I knew we would be going insanely long. New Real Time season begins now (it's pretty much indistinguishable from the previous season).

Some of us are sickos who like your extra long episodes. 😂

I’m so glad you’re not leaving yourself those “voicemails” anymore. I understand wanting to avoid criticism about flubs but I honestly found the corrections to be more irritating than anything. Super excited for Season 3!

Owen Phillips

I like the voicemails. Correcting flubs is good if there's factual content involved

ilkash

To each their own. To me they were jarring departures from the episode flow and I didn’t care enough about the original flub to want a correction in the first place

ilkash

I hope Brace Belden comes on sometime. It was great to hear the TrueAnon music halfway in

Mirkatte

Oof. Will, I see what you mean about Maher's hair.

Lilly

flub crew here, we lov the flubs. maybe will needs to release two versions: one with flubs and lipsmack, and the other without!

Lilly

where is the beautiful theme song😭 how will i know whether women care about politics or not 😭

Jim Allenspach

Thanks for the heads up that Don't Even is available on Tubi. I've actually had this on my watch list due to the involvement of Jennifer Podemski, one of the three Podemski sisters that did amazing work on Reservation Dogs, a show that I'm sure you all have watched

Fred J Walsh

Pro flubs. Will's need to get details correct is, to me, relatable; his admission of flubs, human; and it's all part of the vibe

Lilly

"or, like" is %100 acceptable. Don't listen to the puritanical boomer mindset that clutches the Elements of Style as closely they do their pearls

Lilly

spill the beans is my new favorite euphemism for orgasm, simply because of the Cronenberg level of obscenity that it elicits

Lee McDaniel

like 1 minute ago I just listened to you bring up Robin Williams in the numbers thingy and said out loud while putting the dogs to bed: "WHAT?!? NOOOOooooooooo"

Lilly

great ep, incredible guest. having not seen the actual material, robin Williams sounds like an absolute delight as an impish agent of chaos. Not the racism so much, but overall sounds like a good impact on humanity for halfway sabotaging this episode, alone

Will Weldon

I'll be honest: when the episode is really long I tend to lose my patience for some of the extra little touches.

Cclear: watch He Walked by Night (1948)

My theory is Maher hates Sideways because the good looking guy is a piece of shit modeled after someone like him. He doesn't like seeing himself like that

Lilly

Don't forget the most important part! Saying you are from SoCal!!

Lilly

(🥺im teasing, I'm from the bay area. we are even worse, cuz we just say "the bay" 😋)

Fred J Walsh

re Schrader + Gere references lately -- Body Double : Bill :: American Gigolo : Will

Will Weldon

I do have the Richard Gere big-ish nose and tiny little eyes

Mirkatte

BTW, I remember Christo! In the mid-1980s, a friend and I tried to start a rumor that Christo planned to wrap New Jersey. Our rumor never caught on.

Fred J Walsh

(ok I underestimated a comedian's ability to torpedo any hint of compliment but hope it's found somewhere in the remains)

Magz

I just need to thank Meg real quick for the knee tip

Lol. We lived on Roncesvalles at the same time. Pope JP 2's death was a wild time to be in that neighbourhood. The city's florists were riding on that grief for six months.
