Bill Maher went on a repulsive podcast hosted by a collective of the most terrible men on the internet and we'd all be better off as a society without them, although this specific episode was only hosted by one of those guys. Unfortunately, this meant I went full conservative comedian at the end of this and just got too mad for it to still be enjoyable, and then as an added bonus I got all deflated about it. I hate them, and I resent two guys who have never worked hard or made anything interesting or of real artistic value mocking trans people and questioning their worth as people. I don't think anyone's right to exist should ever be based on what they make or do, but how can you both be so completely without any value to anyone and mock a group that has contributed so many singularly compelling and valuable things to culture and society? Like, you fucking guys are gum on the sole of culture's shoe. Fuck off! At least there are also some weird little details about Bill Maher's life in here that I don't think have been previously revealed. Happy Pride, I'm going to probably stick to older Bill Maher stuff for the rest of the month so it's less likely I have to talk about his immense hatred of all queer people.

I truly did not edit this and now I'm 100% going to have stress dreams where I said a slur or something without realizing it and left it in

Thank you for your service, I'm sorry

You're a real one, Will.

You saying you sound insincere when you're trying to be sincere is how I feel when I hear David Cross speak. I cannot listen to him start a sentence and feel like there there isn't a joke at the end.

I like no-prep Will content. Listening to that Club Random w/ Matt Gaetz was fascinating. When Bill ripped the “far left” and talked about how they “hate him and he doesn’t care” only to have Gaetz say “Well you keep bringing it up so it seems like you do care”, Will’s shocked reaction was priceless 😂.

I get Bill Maher. Because he’s me twenty years ago. His views on marriage and relationships come from boomer jokes and boomer tv shows. Instead of taking those jokes into context, he used them as rules on how to live.

It’s like me growing up with boy meets world and thinking that is how to treat a woman. Growing with media is saying that man was emotionally abusive to that woman. He said the same cliches I heard growing up as a hyper independent child who watched too much tv.

I guess I’ve just ridden the bus too long and understand how life is supposed to work, while he’s taking the quickest way to get from point a to point b.

Definitely the lesson I took from the Nelk boys is that men are really poisoned by the media we choose to engage with

Yes. Also reminds of how Spalding Gray as the Stage Manager in Our Town got ripped for his delivery of "Nice town, y'know what I mean...?" which the ny times called snide + cynical. iirc he said he meant as sincere

This is one of my main fears when I’m on stage or recording something— like you get into a fuge and then when you re enter your body afterwards? Always sure that somehow I became my dark sided version and I somehow did black face and said slurs

I was today years old when I realized Bill "I Kid ____" Maher counts among his celebrity friends Kid Rock and Chris "Kid" Reid. He's hanging out with the kids!

Lol I will happily enjoy any of will’s post-rager regurgitation recollections over bill maher’s sad, pathetic tale(s) of what it was like to go to either two of his parties held in his party pad

1:08:50, the term "home invasion" has also been used for decades. Coined by the news media, I believe. I also believe it's used simply because it sounds terrifying, and an effective way to express how terrifying a home invasion would be to the victims of such an act. 😳

I always wonder what the lead in music is after Norm? The techno music? I love it!

I loved this one and felt really bad for Will during it, like it's unfair to let a man like him with empathy and compassion listen to this. It made me have guilt about sponsoring the patreon, like am I helping him and his family or hurting them here?
