I'm double dipping in this comment section to say why wasn't the burrito joke in the monologue? I feel like following it up with a divorce joke would have been fine had they done a real overall on it. Just say he'll be mourned by divorced men everywhere. It's not great but that'd be less clunky and take away the dad part. Sure, throwing some frozen burritos in the oven is an easy meal that many single parents have made. However, you most commonly think of single dads cooking frozen fish sticks or pizza. You don't want a preconceived notion throwing off the joke. It's like this every week with this guy. He puts jokes in the wrong place and adds way too many moving parts. I've done some open mics, but I don't claim to be a comedian. How does a comedian TV show host with that much mileage not understand how to structure jokes and where they fit in the show?
