Sometimes I feel like I’m going crazy and that my wife and I are the only ones who remember. But we always hated that Nicole Kidman ad at AMC because of how it started as theater propaganda to tell people the only “real way” to watch a movie was in person during a time where lockdowns were just being undone with no vaccine in the immediate future. So it was basically Nicole / AMC saying to risk catching the plague to watch movies in person and keep their business afloat. Glad Will touched on it briefly. Memes are a mistake sometimes

I can sympathize with Knicks fans hearing Bill Maher talk about the Knicks. I remember hearing Rush Limbaugh express the exact same emotions I had when the Royals last won a World Series. It sucks when someone terrible likes something you like.

I've been to Hawaii. There's a sizable unhoused population, at least on Oahu. I remember going to Waikiki for a fireworks show. As soon the crowd left, people start setting up beds on the beach. These definitely weren't tourists. There's also tons of people living in vans. I don't understand why anybody would be shocked to find unhoused people living in places where housing is unaffordable for most people.
