I was very surprised to see these two in your art style, but nonetheless, I adore how you have envisioned them as opposed to the original work. I really like how you did Jax' mouth as well as making Rags just slightly chubby! You did wonderful as always! I do have a question for you, though!

Oh I'm definitely gonna go see it in theaters. >:3 Probably the day it comes out! I'll have to find a showing tho where I'll be able to avoid the kid crowd and the overexcited fans, I just wanna watch the finale in a quiet theater. I can't wait! How about you?

My partner and I are also watching in theaters! We went on opening night to Iron Lung which we both thought was going to be crazy. It was actually pretty pleasant with not too many people or craziness. We are hoping for a repeat with T.A.D.C.!

Thanks! I don't actually "ship" them in the traditional sense...Jax, as he exists in canon presently, is actually my least favorite TADC character. XD He's brilliantly written and decently compelling, don't get me wrong...but I'm annoyed pretty much every moment he's on screen. :( He's a bully and a coward, and from what we've seen so far, somewhat of a violent misogynist and hypocrite (he excuses his own cruel acts because they're "funny", but the moment Ragatha puts her finger up his gun and makes it backfire into his face- a genuinely funny bit- he furiously unloads a whole magazine into her head.) I dislike how much screentime he eats up and wish it was used to better explore Zooble, Ragatha, and Gangle. But! Jax remains a very interesting character, and his relationship with Ragatha is especially intriguing. I enjoy how he brings out the worst in her, especially since she's so repressed and people-pleasy. I don't entertain the idea that they could have a healthy and happy ever after- rather I just like mashing them together like dolls to see how their respective toxic traits and desperation and loneliness and negative coping strategies collide. >:)

I see we're very much alike about this! I like Jax, he's beautifully written and an awesome character, but when it comes to his personality- EH. Yeah, he's not one you'd wanna be friends with XD me and my best friend are similar to Ragatha and Jax (in a non toxic way, ofc) so I can't bring myself to ship them haha (me being a lesbian and him being ace XD)

I love it! I just started watching like, last week. XD The first few episodes were kinda meh, but I kept watching and found myself completely charmed! I like that it's very much a cartoon, but still delves into adult themes without the obnoxious style of humor that plagues most adult animation. My only real complaint is that there isn't more of it! I know Goose always intended for it to be a limited series, but I feel it could've easily run for multiple seasons. Heck, I'd settle for minisodes or comics. Don't get me wrong, the story works fine as is, but I think it could've really benefited from more time getting to know all the other characters. Especially Ragatha, 90% of her limited screentime is just her being mistreated/injured 😭

Not sure. I fiddled with a default btush until it had a grainy charcoal feel. Still not completely satisfied with it. Just experiment with your brush settings I guess? Sorry I don't have better advice :(

That's fine! That's the neat thing about headcanons, since they're personal you can interpret characters any way you want. :) I vibe with a transfem Jax because to me it feels like there's a lot of subtext in the show hinting at it. I know a lot of people see Jax's anger at the maid dress to possibly be a transmasc character getting upset at being forced into feminine clothing, but I see it as a closeted transfem getting upset at being forced into being perceived as something she's not yet ready to engage with. Goose has stated that Jax hated the maid dress because "he isn't ready to ask those questions about himself yet". When asked if Zooble would put transmasc Jax in a dress as a mean joke, Goose said "I don't think Zooble would be that cruel". Zooble nonchalantly remarks that they thought Jax would enjoy the maid dress, and seems genuinely surprised at his angry reaction. Jax snidely mocks Zooble for their ability to change their body at will- in a way that seems like he's jealous? Goose has also sketched Jax with a bottle of progesterone claiming he read it makes one better at gambling. 🤔 Jax is Goose's fav character/self-insert, and Goose herself is a trans woman. Jax sarcastically describes himself as "a little chicken fetus in an egg waiting to be cracked open"...a very interesting choice of words. Jax's worst fear seems to be being perceived as his true, secret, vulnerable self- and having it mocked. Jax is hinted to have undergone something traumatic in the real world that he's afraid to return to. I know subtext and creator comments/jokes aren't the same as canon, and someone could make a similar argument for Jax being transmasc, but I just see Jax as an incredibly repressed and bitter woman convinced she can't be her true self. :(

Oh, I didn't know all of that! That's really cool and makes a lot of sense. I was hcing Jax as transmasc before the whole maid dress thing. I know cis men are perfectly fine with being misogynistic and rude on their own, but something in Jax always struck me as him trying too hard to be seen as a man/manly/whatever. I was getting the same vibes from him as I do Lars from Steven Universe, who I also hc as a trans man who fell into the toxic masculinity pit, which is (sadly) v common in trans men and is a major reason I don't hang out in transmasc spaces.

From what I’ve heard abt transfem experiences (being a trans guy myself) it seems that ‘trying too hard to be a man’ is all too common a phase for trans women to go through before accepting themselves

When the show was first airing, Bunnydoll was probably the first ship i latched onto for Jax for a while because they have beef and history and they argue like an old divorced couple. (Until ribbitrabbit gave me the “jax’s first love” idea and that took over as my fave jax ship.) The show kind of leans onto funnybunny over time but tbh i’m hoping jax and ragatha at least try to be friends again in this hour long finale. Funnybunny is fine but it doesn’t read romantic to me. I could see it being one sided (aka jax not knowing how to handle feelings again due to ribbit and/or ragatha). (Sorry for the sudden ramble-y reply. 😅)

TIL theres a movie coming out?? Glad I read the comments. I'm not super duper into TADC like I am with other things, but I like it enough that I think going to the cinema for a "Youtube thing" would be a hoot. Planning the trip now! Also, cool to gain a new perspective on Jax, I haven't looked at the show through that angle but I'm always down for trans HCs in any direction.
