Man, this is cute, but I'd be worried that summer is too... politically unaware to pick up on Honey's bullshit. Or would Summer get that Honey was a weirdo conservative and put her in her place?

Summer is smarter than she seems. She gets dismissed a lot as "just" a PE teacher, but she does pack a degree in pedagogy, which required quite a lot of study in the fields of sociology and law. She is the daughter of a blue-collar family, she is an open lesbian, and she is a teacher- three demographics that have historically been hammered down on by conservatives. Truth is, as much as she'd like to pretend otherwise, Summer cannot afford to be politically unaware. The only reason Summer doesn't seem as political as her sister is because Summer doesn't really believe in what she calls "sitting around wringing her hands" and blogging about the problems of their world. Summer believes in direct action. Summer has been arrested a few times for civil disobedience. Skye writes precision-strike take-down pieces, Summer throws bricks through windows. Skye interviews families affected by corporate pollution, Summer and her gal pals go to town meetings and demand the local leaders drink the sludgy polluted tap-water they insist is so safe for everyone else to drink. Skye organizes protests, Summer leads strikes. Their approaches are both important, just different- but both sisters take issue with how the other engages politically. All this said, for as chill as Summer seems, she absolutely would take issue with Honey opening her mouth with some "Plan B for women? They should try plan A-abstinence!". The difference is, unlike Skye, Summer wouldn't see much point in trying to debate Honey. She'd probably watch Honey drone on and on about how queerfolk would be treated better if they kept their gross kinks in their closets and tried harder to be good, modest, model citizens like her- aaaand she'd walk up to Honey and whap her in the face with a strawberry rhubarb pie. Direct action! More effective at getting Honey to shut up than Skye will ever be! Romantically/sexually speaking, Skye is entirely repulsed by Honey because Skye's feelings of attraction toward others are always partly informed by the person's core values. Summer is a bit less noble, while she would definitely not want to date Honey (at least not Honey in her current mindset), she would absolutely screw her just for the fun of it. Summer would welcome the challenge of ruffling Honey, of making her lose her composure, of cracking her open to reveal all those oh-so human flaws and hypocrisies and wants and needs. Does Honey also want that? We'll see~

summer may be one of my new favourite characters in fb actually.... random thought also, would summer and jude get along? be buddies if you will. they've got similar (but not the same) vibes, i think them interacting would be fun. their siblings are dating so they'd probably cross paths

Ahhh I see! I think I made up the whole "politically unaware" thing in my head as this makes much more sense. It does make me really interested in the different political parties in Fuzzbutts! Keep up the amazing work, I love the more complex themes you are exploring lately.
