Becca, have you tried the Camlin Kokuyo (aka Camel) tube Artists' watercolour paints (not to be confused with the pans, which look terrible and like a different beast altogether)? I am really curious what you would think about them. They are the Cotman equivalent (i.e. the go-to student paint) of India - I got some recently and I like them a good deal better than Cotman. I have been using them for practice exercises like washes etc. when I don't want to use more expensive paints. I got mine on Ebay so they cost quite a bit more than what they would cost in India, but they were still really cheap and the tubes were massive (12x 20ml). The tubes + shipping from India ended up costing £18 altogether. The Frugal Crafter did a review of these a while back and liked them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBKyyUqiNNw. PS - as Lindsay noted, they do have a strong smell when used straight from the tube (though not when dried out), but I kind of like the smell because it is similar to that of DAS modelling clay, which brings back happy childhood memories for me. They also now list the pigments on their website (you need to click on each individual shade): https://www.kokuyocamlin.com/camel/paints/artist-water-colours/assorted-packs-of-tubes/assorted-pack-of-tubes-12-shades-in-20-ml

Make sure you don't get the watercolour cakes (the pans) - I think the formulation is totally different and they look super chalky (and on their website they don't seem to list the pigments for the pans, which is kind of telling)! I got a box of those because it was really cheap and I really wanted the branded red tin they come in, to stick my own full pans of the dried up tubes into instead. The 12x 20ML tube set is what I have (and The Frugal Crafter tested the 24-set, I believe) and other than the DAS smell when first poured (which some people describe as a crayon smell, but for me is exactly like the smell of DAS) I really enjoy these as practice paints! Apparently they are quite lightfast too, and they are non-toxic. I really hope you don't hate them, hahah. I like them a lot!
