This is a long review with a lot of comparisons, so I suggest you click the above Google Doc to read the full shownotes!
Pros:
You get a lot of colors
Some of the color choices are interesting, at least in theory, reminiscent of traditional Chinese or Japanese colors
The layout itself is interesting, I like the box and the ribbon handles
Cons:
Fairly weak and sticky
Dye based, but not a formulation I enjoy
Quite expensive for what it is ($49.99, yikes) https://amzn.to/3ZNeMig
The Verdict:
I am not particularly impressed by these paints, and I dont recommend them over the Kuretake Gansai Tambi, Kissho, Akashiya, or the Paul Rubens Gucai paints. If you happen to like the dye based formulation, I think the Hannah MP collab with Artistro is a better fit for most artists. I would recommend you save your money and skip this set.
