7" Kara Volume 2 Now Live on Kickstarter! (Patreon)

Hey Artnerds!I know I've been pretty quiet the past week- things've been hectic!  But it's all come together, and 7" Kara just launched on Kickstarter!

Kara inspires so much of my work, and so much of my art outreach, and she's usually the subject for my fieldtests.  It's really exciting (and nerve-wracking) to finally have HER project up.

I have some pretty awesome tiers including physical books, activity kits, and even virtual classroom visits, and I'm torn between being MOST excited about being able to offer Volume 2 (I mean, it's SIX YEARS IN THE MAKING!) and hopefully unlocking some of the stretch goals (the fabric map of the neighborhood, drawn by Tanner, with space for you to add your own Lilliputian hot spots is a fav for sure). If you back for a physical copy of Volume 2 today, you get a free sketch request during the Pajama Party live stream tonight!  Hopefully my hands'll be busy sketching all evening long! The other day, I shared a flipthrough of the Volume 2 proofs (these aren't the final proofs even, just CreateSpace proofs, but I talk about all that in the video!), if you're curious about what 200 pages of comics looks like!

I've also started a Kickstarter/Patreon exclusive blog where I'm sharing my journey and process.  From recording the Kickstarter video to making merch, I plan on sharing all of it.  This is important information for fellow creators, and it's the one thing I've always wished other Kickstarters would make backers privy to!  Right now, the blog is pretty sketchy, and up as a Google Doc, but I hope to flesh it out more as the Kickstarter progresses, and move it to somewhere more presentable.I've got a lot of fun events planned during the Kickstarter- and some will even be in Louisiana, because Joseph and I are getting married this month!  I know- totally crazy to have a wedding AND a Kickstarter going on at the same time, but that's how the stars aligned.  I really hope to be able to show yall the place that inspired 7" Kara!
