Awhile back, I started a series of illustrations of Kara with various Louisiana foods as part of the Volume 2 Kickstarter.  I wasn't able to finish before we moved,  but I'm back at it with more food and watercolor illustrations.  I have four more, for a total of 7 illustrations.

After Hurricane Ida, we ate a LOT of MRE's.  It was almost nostalgic, because after Katrina, we were living on MRE's as well, and back then, Tabasco sauce was a livesaver!  Obviously we weren't the only ones who felt that way, because back in 2006, many MRE's came with teensy little glass bottles of Tabasco.  These days, they're in ketchup packets, and you're LUCKY to get them in your MRE's, but fortunately, we're big fans of Tabasco in my family, and we had bottles on hand to salvage those Meals Ready to Eat.

I recorded the process for painting this illustration, and I hope to have it edited and out to yall soonish, but I wanted to share the finished illustration with yall before I forget!
