I do agree with you with the production. I still find myself bopping along to it, but it does feel a little young and I find it can distract from the lyrics. She performed on guitar as a surprise song during the Eras Tour and I loved the more stripped down version of it.

it’s probably the key change😭

The production for me is very teenage movie. Never actually seen the movie so it might fit. The lyrics are great, the production is sweet but its not my favorite of hers. Its good just not in my top

Hadn’t heard this song before and felt an immediate throwback to her Fearless era. 🌸

Her first time working with Jack! Taylor posted this caption and a bunch of throwback photos of them together when she put out the tv! Not particularly my favorite song, but the start of a great creative pairing for Taylor :) “There you’ll stand ten feet tall, I will say ‘I knew it all along’ 🥲 This song has always made me think of my friend Jack. It was the first song we made together and watching him challenge himself and make beautiful art over the years has been the thrill of a lifetime. How can he be 6 years older than me and also somehow still be my precocious young son? We may never know. “Sweeter Than Fiction (My Version)” is now available exclusively at Target on Tangerine vinyl 🍊💙”

I'm with you on this one cause it grew on me after more listens, rather than the first time! And the guitar solo is amazing! Also with that white tank, you've got a classic Stewart Copeland from The Police thing going on a la the Every Little Thing She Does is Magic video. Hehe 💙

Danny, before starting to react 1989 era interviews, maybe you can react to the music video of New Romantics! There is a music video for New Romantics as well but it's basically a 1989 World Tour footage, memories. It was used to close the 1989 era, which used to be kind of Taylor's tradition back in the days!! 🥺🩵
