My reaction to Heated Rivalry Episode 3: Hunter will premiere at 5 PM EST today! We're continuing to world build and will get into another relationship. This was probably my favorite episode so far. See ya there!

I find Shane and Ilya to be far more romantic because I prefer yearning to meet cutes. I have personally never fallen in love quickly so I can’t relate to Scott and Kip from that angle. I think they work better as a commentary on communication that Shane and Ilya lack.

Yayyyy can’t wait!! I have been having to use SO much self control to not binge these episodes because I want to watch them with you but I’m already hooked it’s soooo goood!!!

I just wanted to point out one thing between Scott/Kip and Shane/Ilya to keep in mind going forward, since a lot of reactors try to make one to one comparisons between them, which just doesn’t work and makes them frustrated at Shane/Ilya. Scott is a veteran player much closer to retiring. He has had time to become emotionally mature, and his boyfriend is completely outside of the hockey world. If he were to come out, the public would be a little less hostile because Kip is not a celebrity. Shane and Ilya are much younger and still have so much maturing to do. The situation if they ever came out would be MUCH harder, first of all because of the implications with Ilya and Russia, but then also because they are the two top players in the league. If their relationship was known, people could question their entire careers and accomplishments- did they ever throw ganes for each other? Do the play worse against each other? It would be a HUGE issue for their careers, which Scott would not have to deal with. Just wanted to reinforce the difference in situations between couples, since many reactors compare Scott/Kip to Shane/Ilya with frustration, not realizing how much harder the latter have it. Give Shane and Ilya a little grace ❤️❤️

Glad that you liked episode 3! Male reactors seem to always like it the best out of the first 3 episodes, which is super interesting! I can’t wait for you to get to the emotional rollercoaster of episode 5 though 😽 for a while after release it tied an episode of Breaking Bad for highest episode of TV ever on iMDB, being the only episode to have a perfect 10/10 audience score with a good 60k reviews or so. Both episode 5 and 6 are phenomenal and most people’s favs of the show, so youve got great stuff ahead!! Loving your reactions to Heated Rivalry, you are so perceptive and understanding 🥰
