She def still gets some of those nerves now and then, but she always gets more comfortable as she goes on. I think what happened on SNL really messed her up. But like this compared to her set at stagecoach last year, it’s so cool to see how far she’s come. I actually love how real and raw her live performances are, she’s not super polished and perfected. Her live versions are never exactly like the studio version. She always makes them a little different. She doesn’t usually have any effects on the live vocals. You’ll see as we go on that she just gets up on stage sometimes in jeans and a white tshirt and a cigarette or more recently her infamous vape 😂. Shes just herself. Love it.

This is the first performance I watch and I liked it. Can’t wait to see how her voice evolves and hopefully she goes hard on those vocal features that make her voice so beautiful 💗

This performance is so beautiful. i think she has a great voice and i just love all of her music! i can never pick a favorite album i think they’re all so good. i can’t wait for the continuation of this deep dive!! i was also wondering if you will watch the tropico short film after listening to paradise?

Lana does literally whatever she wants on stage. She may randomly stop singing and start talking to the audience or walking around. She may dramatically switch up her tone in an instant (which you saw here and were obsessed with when she sang 'hoooney, is that trueee?'). She may start instructing the audio engineers to fix her in-ears mid-song. But the thing is, she can pull you in and give a stellar vocal whenever she feels like it. She’s such a raw performer, and unpredictable at times. I think you’re going to have a lot of fun with how free she is on stage haha. Bottom line: Never expect her to perform a song exactly like the studio version. You never know *exactly* what you’ll get with her, which is part of the fun in my opinion! ❤️😂

She sounds ANGELIC. For this being her first performance she seems pretty stable. Her voice isn’t shaky, and she sounds so rich. Also those STRINGS?? Absolutely insane. Sorry I haven’t been commenting so much!! I promise I’m still around🙌🏻🔥

Aaww omg you are too precious with your reaction every time she hits the note on "is that true?"!!! You totally made my crappy day/week way better with your enthusiasm there! I can't wait for you to hear her voice on some future tracks. Keep your ear out for Sad Girl on Ultraviolence. That's the first one coming to mind. She's got this Dinah Washington thing going on and hits these really unique high notes in the verses on that one! And yes I totally hear the Minnie Ripperton in this performance too! She really has that classic blues/jazz sound on her voice! It's so cool! I love your ideology about heaven and hell being on Earth and living for this life. I don't know if there's an afterlife or reincarnation or what, but it's definitely beautiful to appreciate and make the most of the time we have in this life, which is all we can be sure of really. Lana is such an amazing live performancer, although she has openly said she have stage fright. All the things she can do with her voice is just amazing. For me, her best performances were during BTD until Honeymoon, but she still great! And believe me, things will get better and better in each album, and the last one it's just gorgeous.
