Lana performed at Amoeba in 2012. The tracks were:

Born To Die, Video Games, Blue Jeans, Million Dollar Man and Without You. Tell me everything you know about this performance and this time of her career. The music video for "Carmen" is up next!

Omg I'm having a bad day today, and I just grabbed my phone and was thinking "I'd love to see some Lana reaction video right now, just to chill and enjoy"and saw this notification . THANKS!!!

Amoeba is a record store with a couple locations in California. It’s huge and easy to spend way too much money 😂😂

I’m actually so excited for this because I was not expecting you to react to all of the songs she sang that day. I thought we were only getting the pro-filmed without you. So I’m sat and I apologize for the comments cause I’m sure I’ll have a lot to say 😂

When she did the talk on “come take a walk on the wild side” at the end of born to die she was def making a reference to the reference. That line is pulled straight from Lou Reed’s take a walk on the wild side. And when he sings that line, he speaks it the same way that she just did. I love it. She’s always doing some crazy reference.

a couple years ago she made fun of how she sang million dollar man during that time lol but i love it

Idk how you feel about unreleased songs but she did do a little set with her singing million dollar man and a song called you can be the boss that was supposed to be on born to die. I think that you would really enjoy it. It’s from this era so I’d love to see it on the list it’s the concert at privé. Def should at least check out her million dollar man performance.

Without you from this performance is my favorite from this era. So so good ! 💖

Don’t know if you’ve noticed the lyric change for the second « let me kiss you hard in the pouring rain » ahahah

I agree it’s really annoying when people compare in a negative way to lift someone else up like “ oh this is real art compared to this”. Art is subjective. So to try and quantify its “artistic value” is futile and misguided. I think obviously there is natural comparison and you can compare while giving flowers to both sides. one is not better or worse. It’s whatever speaks to you. Each has its place and its fans and there is a reason why polished pop is popular, people like it and it brings them joy. I wish more people could just understand that part. While I personally love art that makes me think I also enjoy art that just makes me happy. You’ll find everything from Tchaikovsky to Shaggy in my playlist 😂 I don’t discriminate based on fun 😂

She really is so beautiful, I think you’ll enjoy her many different looks. This will be the last era you’ll see her w her iconic orange hair. RIP. But she can pull ALL of it off.

Yay I love that you appreciate the way she experiments vocally in her live performances and that you pointed out how brave that is! I totally agree! She seems so free when she's up on stage singing and I adore her little smiles when she connects with the crowd. And you know I love when you get protective of artists when people leave stupid comments comparing them in a negative way! The ones like you mentioned on your Olivia video are the ones that get me most, where they actually invoke the name of a specific artist or fandom. Like come on man. And often the actual artist they're trying to praise would be so disappointed in that behavior, because they're actually a fan of the artist being insulted and/or friends with them. Or they're just a good human being who wouldn't want to be used for stupid hate mongering and fan wars! But some people just have to be petty jerks. Just wait til you get to one song on Taylor's Lover album. I won't spoil it, but there is a lyric about this very thing you're talking about and you're going to LOVE it! 💗 But anywho, I'd actually never seen these performances myself, so I had so much fun discovering them with you! The operatic high notes she hit were SO cool!! 😍 I'm looking forward to the Carmen video and of course PARADISE! Thanks again for giving me a nice treat today and being your open-minded and compassionate self! 🥰

Intimate performances are the best. Lana looked & sounded stellar, as usual. You're looking stunning and your commentary was heartfelt, as usual. Loved this. Love you! 🩵🩵🩵

Wow, I was a huge fan of Lana since born to die, but was maybe little too young to understand it the way I do now. Your journey throught Lana will be amazing as is, but to experience it with you in a new way is amazing. I realize most of these songs on Born to Die were a huge part of my life, and it does bring some good and not so good memories with it. In these perfomances you just watched I was completely mesmerized since I haven't seen them before. Amazing reaction! <3

Danny! I'm a little late to the party, but I'm here for her deep dive :) Those vocals are beautiful and like you said, love that she explores so much
