Charlie struggling with food and eating are actually hinted at from the very beginning of Season 1. In Episode 1, when he’s sitting alone in Mr. Ajayi’s classroom at lunch, Mr. Ajayi asks, “Then what are you doing?” and Charlie replies, “Eating lunch,” even though he’s mostly just holding his lunch box and moving his food around rather than actually eating it. Later in the same episode, when he’s at home, you can see him with a bowl of cereal that’s gone really soggy, and he’s kind of just playing with it instead of eating it. It’s very subtle, but if you pay close attention throughout season 1 and the whole series, there are lots of little moments like that in the background

Regarding your comments about how no one's expected to come out as straight: exactly. Indeed, it's no one's business. Perhaps now you understand even more why accusing real human beings of queerbaiting is so horrible. Take Harry Styles, Connor Storrie, and Hudson Williams, for example. They have been relentlessly accused. None of them owes it to us to come out as anything if any of them are queer, because what if they aren't ready yet? What if they don't want to make it a big deal? You'd be making a queer person feel like shit for simply choosing not to come out publicly. It's unacceptable. The cruel irony is that this is exactly what happened to Kit Connor. He was bullied with queerbaiting allegations by the internet after Season 1 of Heartstopper aired. It made him feel forced to come out as bisexual at 18 years old. It still breaks my heart that he felt like he had to disclose something so personal before he truly wanted to. To end this on a lighter note, your hair looks fabulous, and I'd be worried if Nick Nelson didn't bring you to tears with how sweet he is. I see so much of you in him (and I'm not just talking about the "strong rugby arms," as Charlie would say)! ❤️🤣

I loved the whole scene of Imogen dumping Ben and then Charlie, Nick, Tao, Elle, Tara and Darcy just immediately "adopting" her into their friend group and making her feel involved with their plans🥹​ that damn hickey reveal at the end tho....NICHOLAAAS

S2 Tara and Darcy are so great. I really love how their characters build so honestly, so dynamically. The slow reveal of their inner selves is crushingly beautiful. And charmingly well done by both actors. And Nick…. I don’t have words for how deeply he hit me the first time I watched Heartstopper. He’s one of the most warm and kind characters I’ve ever seen. Kudos to Alice for sharing him, from her head and heart right into ours. Watching him touch you made my day 🥹. Can’t wait to see the next two episodes with you. So good. TV at its best.

Btw you’re correct with the Harry Styles films—“Don’t Worry Darling” isn’t a queer-focused film, but “My Policeman” is a very queer-focused film. I’m VERY interested in how you’ll interpret Call Me By Your Name. Still my favorite Timothée Chalamet performance to date, and Luca Guadagnino (director) can do no wrong. In the meantime, can’t wait for RWRB!! 🇬🇧🏳️‍🌈🇺🇸

Love how much of an ensemble show this is. Tori definitely has more moments in s3 to my memory, but I also love the developments with Imogen as she becomes more of her own person and not just tied to whichever guy she's pursuing. Very excited to see your reaction to the progression of Isaac and James! I'm also so grateful for your acknowledgement of all of these characters as people with rich backstories and trying to parse out the reasons why they might be the way they are. Even when it doesn't excuse bad actions, it is always so interesting to watch a well written character and not just write actions off as bad for the sake of being bad. They do such a good job at exploring character depth, even if it's not explicitly spelled out, and I think you'll catch a lot of that in future episodes!
