Looking back on this adventure, I wish I took more pictures of where we went BEFORE we went to Texas Frightmare.

We went to a bunch of retro video game stores where my brother had the opportunity to buy some things add to his collection. If you are a old school, new school, any kind of retro love of games fan...let me know. I'll get pictures of his collections to post here. I know he would LOVE to share it with you!

We even visited an oddities shop. It was a first for both of us! We got a chance to see macabre items and I was super stoked! My inner goth girl was screaming with joy. My brother said he couldn't breathe. Lol.

We hit up some coffee shops. We try to find a new shop everytime he comes down. He likes his iced vanilla lattes and I love a nice hot latte with oatmilk!

This post has pictures or our adventures at Frightmare. You'll see some pictures of the exhibits as well as pictures of how packed the venue was. It wasn't like this last year, but there was A LINE for the escalators.

My brother got a chance to meet some people he really loves. I don't know the first picture with the woman (sorry NittBro!), but he had a chance to meet his favorite YouTuber's Dead Meat! It was so cute seeing him talk to them when he got their signatures.

Finally, when we got home I wanted to get some pictures of me in my Ash cosplay. I took some by myself but then my brother thought it would be funny to do some silly photos of me "killing" him.

I hope you enjoy the choas of these pictures!

Ah...fun with liquid latex! Your wounds look awesome. When you say Marc has retro games....are we talking 1982 retro...or 2002 retro? 😀

We are talking 1982 retro. We’ve been looking for a Magnavox Odyssey to add to his collection, but currently the oldest console he owns that I got him as a gift was the 1982 Coleco Vision, complete with a few games. ☺️ We LOVE our video games. I blame him for my love of them. Honestly…he’s to blame for all my gaming and music loves. Lol

Ok...That's going back to my era!! Pong, Atari, Intellivision, ColecoVision. Odyssey..and of course video game arcades!! I've only actually owned 2 systems in my life... Atari 2600 and many years later I had a PS1 and traded for a PS2 because it played DVDs and I didn't have a DVD player yet. Got rid of the PS2 20+ years ago. I only had a few games for it but they were addicting... Star Wars: Jedi Power Battles, Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit, and a boxing game called Knockout Kings. (oh...and Grand Theft Auto 2. Yes.. 2!!!!) Tell him to check out youtube channel GenXGrownUp. They have a Discord channel too- no patreon membership required. They also have a 2nd youtube channel called Bit By Bit.

Something looks different about you but I can't put my finger on it :p . How TF do you milk an oat? Is it similar to milking an almond? Those udders must be tiny :p . I had an old Super NES I recently gave away. I was one of the first to own a Panasonic 3DO but it sucked because there were no games for it.

1982 is when I graduated high school and then spent the summer in Marine Corps bootcamp. Shit I'm old! Love those photos! NittPicc, your cosplay looked awesome! Nice work on the blood and wounds! And of course, the chainsaw hand! I used to love playing video games. Not so much Atari, but the actual machines they had in convenience stores or malls. My favorites were Defender and Galaga. Looks like you tow had a lot of fun Po~! Much love to NittBro, Boston and Jacen!

What were you two drinking in those cool mugs?

NittPicc Reacts

It was a limited edition mug that you can buy at the convention for bottomless root-beer, teas, lemonades and various other sodas. It was a cool purchase because you can take it to another convention that has this beverage company and you can use the same cup for free. The one time cup purchase was too good to pass up since we go to conventions so much. Lol

I still have all my consoles from childhood. My first console was an NES. My mom would play Super Mario Bros together before I started kindergarten. I only recently quit console gaming for PC gaming. I miss collecting, but it’s so worth just buying a game on Steam. I’ll tell my brother about those channels. I know he’d love to check it out!

Maybe the lack of hand? 😆 Unfortunately I am a lactose intolerant lady. Lol. It’s my own fault for trying to go vegan for a month. I love milk…but it hates me! 🥹 My brother and I have been looking for Panisonic 3DO for funsies. That poor thing had too much competition when it came out. The original GEX game was on that system! 🦎

I am definitely a wiseass at least! LOL!

NittPicc I had no idea you came to Texas Frightmare. I live in Euless Texas just a short drive from Las Colinas. The home of the Irving Convention Center.

Yeah! My brother and I usually go every year. ☺️ I’ve been to that convention center twice and that concert venue at least 4 times.
