first of all, Michael Sicotte is a Saint! Arigato Po! Second, for not playing for so long, that was not bad! I'm sure it will come back to you NittPicc. My friend Ted - who was scolded by the Pigeon in Philly for not saying Moe! Moe! - is a huge Sabbath and Ozzy fan. He is really good on guitar and plays a lot of their songs. Good luck Po! Love your unbridled enthusiasm!

That was cool! And I did not know that PRS also makes bass guitars... That is a beautiful one!

Hats off to Michael, a true patron of the arts.

Michael Sicotte is a legend, though you might be loving it slightly less when you have to restring that Floyd Rose for the first time, it's a whole separate set of skills you'll have to learn. ;)

Well…good thing I’m patient! But I am scared. 🫣 lol

Patience is an important element when balancing a floating bridge that locks, though it's easier if you don't change tunings or string gauge and/or brand (different brands often have different tensions even if they're the same gauge), so would be worth finding out what's currently on there. Also never overtighten the locking nut clamps or string blocks, as they're deliberately made with softer metal to grip the strings. There's plenty of decent guides online, unfortunately mixed in with a bunch of less helpful ones spreading misinformation. Let me know when you're getting to that point and I'll send you a few links as well as be on hand for any questions that might arise, still got a couple of locking bridges in the collection and worked on dozens of varying quality during my years as a guitar tech.

The SE Indonesian import line that this comes from currently doesn't make basses, they did two models from 2014-2019 (the Kestrel & the Kingfisher) and then another upgraded run of each from 2021-2023 that this Kingfisher comes from. On the USA front they did runs of various models from '87-'91, the Electric Bass model from '00-'05 and the Gary Grainger model from 2011-23. The other famous user of PRS basses would be Rhonda Smith, most well known for her work with Prince and Jeff Beck.

You can say hello to Kanami's collection of birds every time you pick it up.
