Am I going to be able to survive season 3? I know we have an epilogue next, but still. I think I might lose my mind if I keep crying like this...

I won't lie though, I do feel more alive getting the opportunity to cry to such a lovely show.

Congrats to Kitauji on their bronze trophy. I cannot wait for their next competition! The road to gold continues...!

I love this series with all my heart Bro 🥺 Just to clarify, so you have the correct order of the show. After the second season: Liz and the Blue Bird (movie) Chikae no Finale (movie) Ensemble Contest (OVA) Third season

Ooooooo! This makes sense. I’ve heard I’m supposed to watch it in a specific order, so this helps!

Yes, the movies and the special episode are must watch before season 3 because with season 2 finale the Sound Euphonium we know so far will be no more. The third years are gone. So, new president and vice. Our main girls will be second years and new first years characters will be introduced. If you don't watch in order before season 3 you will not understand a thing.

The Ensemble Contest (OVA) isn't available on Crunchyroll, can't seem to find it to purchase digitally anywhere either. It's the only part of the story I've not yet seen, though I am familiar with the general story beats. Netflix Japan has it if you use a VPN, but there's no English subs.

It's available for free on Aniwatch, although I don't know how opposed y'all are to free streaming services. Personally, I think that OVA is very good and establishes some of the relevant themes of the third season, so it's totally worth it. Even if nittpicc can't upload her reaction, I still recommend watching it.

I don’t mind using the free streaming service for that as long as there are English subs. 😅 I started with a free streaming site at first.

I generally prefer to stick with services that contribute to KyoAni whenever possible (own all the limited edition Violet Evergarden boxsets), but I'm prepared to make an exception in this instance. Did the same with having a friend obtain for me a download of 'Chikae no Finale' aka. 'Our Promise: A Brand New Day' for me to watch the first time round; as it was during a period where it wasn't available otherwise without ordering an out of print Bluray from the US (which I still seriously considered).
