I love how the title's of the episodes are descriptive of what is happening with the characters somehow. The 3 leaders of the band being the "triangle" and the coming together to make a decision was the "syncopation."

Anyway, Mayu seems really nice. Something about her seems extremely intimidating though. The way she delivered that line basically saying that she wouldn't want to make someone sad that she basically took their spot in the band. Like...wow! That's confidence. Good for her!

I am already looking forward to the next competition and what hills and valleys we will go through to get there! What will become of these graduating seniors?

Mayu is a complicated character. A really well writen one. Reina and Kanade been territorial and protecting Kumiko in their own ways is really heartwarming. Kannade in her mischievous ways (with a little acidic commentaries also..HE HE) and Reina in her harsh attitude as always. Love them. The opening song is "ReCoda" by TRUE because of course. Not Sound Euphonium! without a opening song from her. The ending song is "Neiro no Kanata" by Kitauji Quartet, our main girls as usual: Tomoyo Kurosawa (Kumiko), Ayaka Asai (Hazuki), Moe Toyota (Midori) and Chika Anzai (Reina).

I never imagined that I would be addicted to an anime. But Sound Euphonium has me hooked. NittPicc, thank you for enlightening this non-musician about great classical music, about how school bands function and the sometimes intrigue that goes on behind the scenes. This has been a fun ride for a non-"band nerd (elite)!
