Maybe the band shouldn't store their own personal items in the their own storage closet. It makes for too much clutter! After a nice cleaning session they found Sawa-chan's old guitar...a Gibson, no less. She wants the K-ON club to sell it but how much is that guitar really worth?

...also, when will there be new members?

A Gibson SG. Angus Young of AC/DC will be proud. Is his trademark guitar. Eric Clapton used a Gibson SG named The Fool when he was in Cream.

Yui must be soul sister of Kanami. KAKEE!!!!

SGs are a guitar shape where I like a lot of music that's been created on them, but I've never quite gelled with them ergonomically, the neck joint makes the proportions feels weird and they rarely hang well on a strap without danger of neck dive.

I'd never heard of Jacaranda being used in guitar construction by Gibson, however upon doing a little research it is also known as Pau Ferro which I have heard of, whilst exotic it's slightly more common and good examples look very similar to Brazillian Rosewood which is extremely rare & expensive now. The Japanese guitar company Tokai (who first built their reputation doing copies of older Gibson & Fender guitars in the 70s that at times were better than the then contemporary US models) sometimes interchange the names despite it not being technically the same wood. Bear in mind if the shop was prepared to offer 500k JPY to trade it in, then the market rate they would likely be selling it for would be nearly double that. I guess they've implying this is a 'closet classic' spec vintage 60s SG. With current vintage prices creeping ever higher that's still on the low side of things even without factoring in inflation, like a more exaggerated version of the discussion we had about the actual price of Yui's Les Paul.

Kouhai is underclassman/junior, but with a little more emphasis on the difference in status/respect/seniority than the western equivalent. The other girls are Azusa's senpai, which is the opposite.

Gibson & Fender are the first two US brands that made commercially successful solid body electric guitar designs in the 1950s, so they were there first and rode the initial wave of rock music in the 50s & 60s which led to a built in nostalgia brand value. Many people want to play what their heroes played and back then options were far more limited.
