It's hard not to feel a little hot and bothered by these sick playing abilities.

Seriously though, I wasn't expecting that bass, guitar and drums pass off. I felt that that was the Maids shining through this song the most. I think it has a lot of Akutsu's feeling and sound to it. What do you think?

One of the preeminent live performances of all time. 🕊️

If you ever want to play to the level of what Kanami does then the flexible pick is the bad choice of pick to have, you need a stiffer one, flexible picks are mayble more confortable but they are only useful if you want to play rhythm and strum chords and playing that doesn't require precision. The reason we use stiff picks for playing that require precision, speed and sharper tone (like what Kanami does for like 2 hours straight every concert) is because it allows you to maintain that control during fast alternate picking, sweep picking, or fast single-note runs, these picks don't bend as much each stroke which makes then more responsive, your pick won't bend by the previous string when you hand is already on the next, and this consistency allows to have a sharper and more articulate tone which is important in fast playing if you want every note to be heard well. I would suggest what I use personally which is a Dunlop Jazz III or a Dunlop Ultex Sharp.

Miku's vocals tend to be a bit more forward in their live recordings than in the studio. The difference is really noticeable between the studio and live of "the non-fiction days." In the studio track, you can barely hear her.

Daniel Morgan

I think Indiana doesn’t do DST. Here on the east coast I prefer standard time.

Luis Arispe

One of my favorites songs of the Maids. Miku's line is in the studio version front and central, but, I think is twitch to sound so much like Saiki that it can be take as her. Live sound like Miku..because she is her...HA HA.

Charles Coleman

Seeing this, especially when you sneak a peek at the next song makes me really want for you to have a watch party to see an entire Okyuji. It would be so much fun!

Wayne B

Miku overloads on cute in this song, especially in the live! This along "Take Me Higher" are book end favorites!

Charles Coleman

Good luck in San Antonio!!! Best wishes for your band members!!

Wayne B

Misa has been asked about the pic tuck and what happens if she drops her pic. Her answer is, "I don't drop my pic!"

Wayne B

Did you notice Miku switch guitars at the start of this song?

Wayne B

I would like to say this is peak Band-Maid, but like a mountain range, there is another, possibly higher peak just over the ridge! The Alps have nothing on Band-Maid!

Charles Coleman

As far as hand and finger placement goes, I think that you should do whatever is more comfortable for you and/or easier. I have seen many guitarists and bassists. Some use the thumb, some don't. If it works for you, either way, go for it!

Wayne B

If you watch Kanami's fret hand in "Bestie", she uses her thumb on the top string a lot, so it must be a situational thing! Has to be okay if Kanami is doing it!

Charles Coleman

As for the question of the day, I'm not overly bothered by the switch in time, but given the choice, I'll take the extra hour of daylight. year round.

Wayne B

On daylight savings, I personally HATE it! Just pick one and stay with! it! The reason it was enacted is now pointless, just my two cents worth!

Juan San

Throbbing fingertips!, good job on bass. There's no way any WD song can compare to this live performance. The songs simply come alive. Mr. Akutsu, a true gentleman (there's always a bouquet of flowers from him at their concerts), has always lent a hand to the girls when they've been short on time with the schedule. This happened with WD and with the B-side of Bubble, the song "Smile," which, in my opinion, is the best of their collaborations. He always gave them plenty of room for the arrangement, so I really couldn't say how much of their collaborations are his own and how much is Band Maid's.

Juan San

My vote!☝️

Juan San

According to MISA, the easiest of her songs to learn is Don't You Tell Me, and there are at least three versions of it on Prime.

Bill Whitaker

That gets my vote too. The Studio Coast Okyuji would be another excellent watch party event. Both of these Okuiji's have some of the best audio and video I have seen in recorded concerts. The next song is Don't You Tell Me. That's on Just Bring It, which you have already reviewed. So go ahead and listen to it.

David Cousins

What is always said, check out the live of this. I really would love if they would release live albums/CDs of the Blu-ray/DVDs they release. As for the change of the clocks, where I live if DST were to become the norm we would get sunrise as late as 9:30 am - so standard time would be my vote. Changing topics, Misa doc please :)

Drive Time

Indiana traditionally did not, but they implemented it about 20 years ago to be in synch with the rest of the country.

Drive Time

IMO The biggest difference in seeing BAND-MAID live vs. live videos is that I hear Miku much more clearly live and I barely notice the backing tracks at all. I would like to see them mix their live videos a bit more like that as well, but it's hard to complain about the live mixes much because they sound good. As for DST I don't much care either way. Clock time is an arbitrary construct anyway. I'm amused at how wound up some people get about it like time is some immutable property of physics.

William Hallisey

Wave B. is right. Now that "Turn Me On" has done so, your next reaction should "Take Me Higher"!

William Hallisey

I would love for the Maids to reintroduce this song into their future setlists.

William Hallisey

NittPicc, I have an extra copy of the SCOOOOOP EP. If you or anyone else you know would like it, I'll gift it to them.

Chris Bergsten

I lived in Arizona for several years and yes, they don't do DST. I think there are a couple of other states that don't but I forget which. Honestly I LOVED getting rid of DST. It did mean having some weird daylight hours sometimes but that didn't bother me nearly as much as changing the clocks twice a year. Which sounds funny when you hear it, like it doesn't seem like a big deal having to change clocks twice a year (especially now that so many clocks do DST automatically or have a switch or a setting you can change vs. having to enter the new time or reset some physical clock hands) - but all of the getting up an hour earlier, oops it isn't the time I thought it was, let me pull this thing down off the wall, etc. seems like such nonsense once you're not doing it.

Eno L

It is noted that Miku turns Princess Nittpicc on......

I European Union is agreement that daytime saving should end, but we cant find agreement what time to keep summer or winter. Southern and nothern states have different opinions.
