This score was fun to open up and dive into like all the others.

Some cool things happened with how the use of hemiola created a sense of time change where there wasn't any at all! I expect nothing less from them though.

The live version threw me for a loop though! I couldn't believe how the small changes, whether they were on accident or on purpose, made the performance feel very different. It's different enough that you can hear all the little changes.

What do you think?

Saiki's entrance after "Onset" has always seemed like that of a queen to me; I always think she's going to be late for the mic! That regal presence always made us think she was cold (tsundere), but it was clearly just a reflection of her own shyness. Nowadays, she's a true frontwoman both on and off stage. There's a TV video of Miku, Kanami, and Saiki meeting one of her baseball idols, and it's incredible to see her get so emotional and fan girling, just like any of us would in her presence. Kanami's solo has always seemed like a kind of homage to Santana to me, and I find it absolutely beautiful.

AI is a tool, like a paintbrush or a guitar. No one expects a paintbrush to create a painting or a guitar to produce a song; that's what humans, with all their imperfections, are for. The possibility of creating a masterpiece always lies within the capacity to make mistakes. I have no problem with using AI as a tool, but I fear that what we're currently facing is the indiscriminate use of the easy path to the homogenization of everything at its lowest possible level.

The door knocking is in the studio, it is just more subtle and masked. I hear submarine underwater knocking tho.

I agree JS. I think he human struggle to create is what allows a masterpiece to exist.

Two things that I really love about this video - 1, Saiki's Queen like entrance with perfect timing as the song begins. 2 - Watching Misa just move and groove and dance while playing. I think she really likes this song!

AI is great as long as it's kAnamI Kanami > AI

One more thing on AI. Hey AI, try and match Miku's Omajinai Time Po! Good luck!! Gimme the Pigeon every time Po! She is a master entertainer, a master of improvisation and a very funny Lady! Pigeon Power for the win!

Joe Kuan

Not sure whether you have noticed this. The melody at the starting of Kanami's guitar solo, she used it as a sample for Blooming for the beginning part.

💀💀💀 Oops. It could be my accent peaking through, but I would be surprised if I did! 😅

Got to hear this live in Charlotte in May '23.

this is going to be controversial BUT I would prefer an AI song that you KNOW is AI than modern Western POP with Autotune and Pitch correction taking all the humanity out of a performance while passing it off as NATURAL.
