Ty Tabor has a way with how he make the guitar sing.

This song has such a good chord progression and a great vocal hook that you'll be humming or belting at the top of your lungs in the house...or maybe it was just me?

Also...I have a growing list of instruments that I want to try out at some point. A 12 string bass is now one of them!

I wasn't expecting anything this pop-y. Beatle-esque harmonies.

Well, first they are a great band to do research on you can actually talk to dUg on bookface anytime you want ;) . They are on the road gigging like a bunch of college kids as a living (all original members). Where you hear the church choir, I hear the Beatles harmonies. Their vocals have always been stellar. The album DOGMAN was probably met with the most commercial success and the title track is pretty well known ... but as I said before I have not recommended it as it lacks a lot of guitar from Ty. King's X should have been world famous :( . I put a couple of vids in the DISCORD on dUg's 12 string bass ... it's actually a Schecter signature bass they made for him. Pearl Jam's song Jeremy is probably the most widely known 12 string bass song. Favorite religious rock song? Remember I was born in 1966 - has to be Norman Greenbaum - Spirit In The Sky (1970) ... who was Jewish by the way. It was probably one of the first religious rock songs I ever heard and the melody has always lived rent free in my head. Finally, Ty's work at the end of the song is why I gave it to you as a better example, the solo in the middle of the song is good but Ty seems to shine most when the spotlight is not on him ... ironic.

The 'Jesus Movement' in the late '60s and '70s spawned Contemporary Christian Music, spurred on with musicals like Godspell and Jesus Christ Superstar, and extending into Folk, Pop, and even Rock music. Aside from the Christian artists thriving within their own music community, there were mainstream hits as well: Panic already mentioned Norman Greenbaum's "Spirit In The Sky". (1969) #3 The Doobie Brothers cover of "Jesus Is Just Alright". (1972) #35 Cat Stevens cover of the hymn "Morning Has Broken". (1972) #6 Edwin Hawkins Singers Gospel version of the hymn "Oh Happy Day". (1969) #4 George Harrison - "My Sweet Lord" (1970)* #1 Pacific Gas & Electric - "Are You Ready?" #14 Ocean - "Put Your Hand in the Hand" #2

The band name "Pacific Gas and Electric" always made me laugh. Is that really the best name you could think of :p .
